Children Who Are in CLOSE Contact With COVID Positive Person
Give:
Vitamin C - 250mg and Multivitamins to boost immunity.
Watch:
For symptoms
Test:
- If symptoms
Or
- 5/7 days after last exposure to infected person
Quarantine:
For 10 -14 days after last contact with infected person
All contacts:
Wear mask, sanitize and distance from each other to prevent further spread in
the family
Children who test Positive for COVID – 19
Treatment:
• Fever: Treat as usual with paracetamol (crocin / calpol / fevago).
• Cough Cold: Treat only if symptoms are severe with usual with cough cold medicines
• Antibiotics: Are usually not needed
• Give: Vitamin C - 250mg and Multivitamins to boost immunity.
Isolate:
• Isolate for 10 days after onset of symptoms and take precautions for 7 more days.
Severe Symptoms:
• If you have any concerns, get the child checked at SRCC Hospital
• Don’t worry: Most children recover well and DO NOT need hospitalisation.
Note:
Some children develop symptoms, 7-14 days after recovering from COVID-19
Get your child checked if there is fever, rash, red eyes or mouth, diarrhea and vomiting,

No visitors to the house
Deliveries:
Can come to the door
Meals:
• Do not share dishes, drinking glasses, cups, eating utensils, towels, pillows or other
items with others
• After using these items, you should wash them thoroughly with soap and water
• Wash the clothes separately, preferably in a washing machine
Maintain Hygiene:
• Wash your hands often with warm water and scrub with soap for at least 20 seconds
before drying your hands thoroughly
• You can also use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if your hands are not visibly dirty
• Wash the child’s hands as well every time
• Good hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways of reducing the risk of infection
to you and to other people. If you live with others, they should also wash their hands
regularly as a precaution. Encourage everyone in the house to wash and use sanitizer
