II ESSAY: Answer and elaborate the following question below in your own
words.
1.Give a scenario about the Procedure for Bunkering Operation on a Ship.
Bunkering operation in ship is really important. It has procedures and first
of which is preparing for the bunkering operation which will involve the
readiness of bunkering equipment, storage tanks and bunkering safety. For
example, a certain marine engineer will prepare it. Next in line he will
perform the bunkering operation in real time as per the pre-decided
procedure and receiving the marine fuel according to the bunker plan. Lastly,
he will be able to wrap it up, the bunkering operation with utmost safety and
ensuring the correct amount and quality of bunker fuel has been received
onboard from the bunkering facilities.

2. Explain why it is required to empty some tanks and transfer the oil from
one tank to other.
There are many reasons why it is better required to transfer oils from one
bank to another. It might be also required to empty some tanks. This is
required to prevent the mixing of two oils and prevent incompatibility
between the previous oil and the new oil. As we all know, problem and
hazards can occur if this will happen, if two different oil mixed with each
other. That's why it's really essential to transfer to another and to empty
some tanks. Always remember that we need safety when we are working
on board.

3.Discuss the after Bunkering Procedure Checklist in your own words.

For me bunkering procedure has three basic steps to make it more easier
and make it less hassle to understand. First we need to prepare, maybe in
everything that we do preparing is really the most difficult part but it is
where we start and it is the work progress. we must ensure that all
bunkering equipments are in good condition and they are all ready. Next in
line is to perform bunkering operations. It is where the work take place in
progress. This part is the workaholic part. Lastly, is finishing the work and
wrapping it up. in this part assurance is very important that the work is done
well. It is also worthy finishing duties such as cleaning happens. That
completes my checklist in bunkering.
