At AWS, we are hiring the best hands-on migration experts, who can help our clients
and partners migrate their business-critical applications to take advantage of the
global scale, elasticity, automation and high-availability features of the AWS
cloud. Our consultants will collaborate with partner and client teams to determine
migration strategies, build migration business cases, analyze application
portfolios, perform application assessments, develop migration plans, design
migration processes, implement migration tools, support the migration execution,
and ensure operational integration. These professional services engagements will
focus on leading our customers through large-scale migration programs using the AWS
migration methodology, AWS migration services and AWS tools such as AWS Migration
Hub, AWS Application Discovery Service and AWS Database Migration Service.

Responsibilities include:

· You will manage projects independently and also deliver as part of larger teams.
· You will work with customers and partners internalizing their context while using
your business and technical skills to design solutions based on requirements and
constraints.
· You will own and complete key tasks and deliverables, and collaborate with others
to define and implement optimal, complete solutions based on stakeholders needs.
· You will work towards customer business outcomes, ensuring there is a strong
connection between delivery activities and business objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering,

Mathematics or a related field
· Extensive experience with delivering in large-scale migration programs with
hands-on expertise in two or more of the following domains: migration strategy
design, migration business case creation, application portfolio analysis,
application assessment, migration process design, migration tool implementation,
migration execution, or operational integration.
· Extensive experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in a project management role or similar

· Experience with migrating applications from on-premises to the AWS Cloud
· Hands-on experience with deploying and using migration tools (e.g. Double-Take,
Racemi)
· Exposure to the AWS platform and its compute, storage, networking and migration
services
· Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Math
· Understanding of virtualization technologies and system architectures that
utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
· Presenting at public events such as technology conferences, hackathons, etc.
· Experience working directly with customers and partners

Your Role and Responsibilities

Who you are:

You will be the DevOps owner and lead for the Watson Health Development India
organization
Working as a key strategist you will own the DevOps vision, direction, and
planning for the organization.
Champion and monitor best practices in DevOps, CI/CD and release engineering
for the Watson Health Development activities

What you’ll do:

After the initial set up of required sound DevOps practices, you will own the
release engineering and other DevOps activities.
Mentor and guide DevOps team members including vendor staff.
Support ongoing Agile Projects/scrum teams, for all their DevOps needs.
Be an active member of the Watson Health global development DevOps practice and
contribute continuously to the global mission.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

At least 15 years of experience in software development environment with at

least 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps activities
Experienced in IBM Cloud/GCP/Amazon/Azure Cloud Service
Strong understanding of DevOps practices & tools, system monitoring and
integration with logging and monitoring tool
Experience in implementing distributed applications in a container environment
(Docker/Kubernetes), and application migration to cloud
Deep architectural and solutioning knowledge with IBM Cloud/GCP/AWS/Azure
services in IaaS, PaaS or services like Kubernetes,
Public Cloud Network and Security capabilities/services across AWS, GCP, Azure,
IBM Cloud.
Implement DevOps achitectural framework for healthcare cloud platform and
applications, resiliency/disaster recovery, Kubernetes services, microservices,
containers, other PaaS Services.
 Experienced in architecting solutions within IBM Cloud or any public cloud.
Experienced in Cloud CLI, APIs, CloudFormation templates and Management
Console, Monitoring & Logging, Cloud Optimization, Security Services Cloud Build
Services, Cloud Migration (CSP to CSP, On-prem to CSP), Cloud Managed Services.
Competitive understanding of services from CSPs and costing.
Ability to create DevOps tool chain using DevOps tools, Familiarity with
Jenkins as build driving a full unit test, build verification, and production code
delivery pipeline.
GitHub Configuration management: Puppet or chef, Ansible Certified in
Kubernetes Administration, Strong understanding of Microservices,
Knowledge on Cloud native application development Code quality control:
SonarQube Data analytics: Splunk, Kibana Monitoring of cloud services,
Experience in Automation (using python or shell scripting)
Strong people management experience skills including hiring, developing and
retaining high performing talent.
Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and comfortable in working
with executive leadership
Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving skills
Experience of working in a geographically distributed multi-cultural
environment

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Terraform experience is preferred.

Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR and the related Healthcare regulatory environment
