Software Quality Assurance

SQA is the pillar on which Software Testing stands. It's the usual role of SQA to define how
software should be designed, what must be done to achieve certain quality standards and how
software should behave. Thus, it also regulates the way development works in accordance with
those standards.

Software Quality Assurance (SQA) is a methodology of checking that software development

projects comply with a predefined set of standards. Software testers execute these checklists to
evaluate the functional and platform quality of the product. This will ensure that the product
meets the user’s needs.

Software quality assurance can determine how well software works, as well as whether it is
useful, usable and desirable to customers. Having a strong overall system in place can improve
the likelihood of delivering a finished product with high levels of quality.
