Subject Description: This course deals with the concepts, underlying principles, processes and implementation of a business plan.
The preliminaries of this course include the following: 1) discussion on the relevance of the course; 2) explanation of key concepts of
common competencies; 3) explanation of core competencies relative to the course; and 4) exploration of career opportunities.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of the course, students are enabled to:
 Develop and implement a Business Plan
 Observe and assess a market in terms of needs, preferences, demands and piques
 Enhance their knowledge and skills on the different functional areas of business organizations
 Get enough motivation and inspiration in starting up one’s business venture

FOURTH QUARTERLY EXAMINATION

Modes of Assessment: This subject makes use Class Policies


of varied forms of authentic assessment which Language of Instruction
include portfolio assessment, performance tasks, English is the medium of instruction. Lectures,
as well as metacognitive assessments. discussions, and documentations will be in English.

Grading System: Attendance


First Quarter and Second Quarter All class sessions are to be attended. Per Section 1551
25% - Written Works (Quizzes, Mini Case Study) of CHED's Manual of Regulation for Private Educational
45% - Performance Tasks (Activities, Portfolio) Institutions, a student who has incurred more than
30% - Quarter Examinations twenty per cent (20%) of the total number of school days
Term Gr = (3RD Quarter Grade + 4TH Quarter Grade) shall not be given credit to the course regardless of
2 class standing. For further provision of the said policy,
please refer to the UST Student Manual.
