MODULE 1: LIFE AND WORKS OF RIZAL

ACTIVITY

That’s me: List down on a paper or Shoot a Flip grid video explaining your
Similarities with Dr. Jose Rizal using the information above.

I read the information about Dr. Jose Rizal and I found out the ones we have in common.
The first one is we both like dried fish, chocolate and mais con hielo, every morning I cook
and eat dried fish with fried rice to eat, I prefer chocolates than milk and when I want a
snack mais con hielo is what I always buy. The next one is he is into sports, im into sports
too and my favorite sports in volleyball and dancing I am happy when I do these sports.
The last one is we both love ghost and whimsical tales but also afraid in mythical creatures.
When I am watching I tend to choose scary shows rather than romantic shows, I also
always read a book with a scary theme but I’m also afraid of mythical creatures so when I
watch horror movies I must have someone next to me to watch.

Reflections: What do you think is the most important goal or purpose of studying
Rizal Course? How can knowledge of Rizal’s life be applied in this pandemic? Write down your
thoughts on paper or shoot a Flip grid video.

The main goal of Rizal’s life is to educate the Filipino youth about the importance of
Rizal’s teachings and ideals in relation to present situations in the society. It shows the
sacrifices Rizal made in the past and how he fought for the country by writing. This
knowledge of Rizal’s life can be applied in our current situation the “COVID 19” and other
issues in the country by giving an inference, thoughts and opinion on how we will overcome
this difficult situation we are experiencing today. You can write it and post it to internet
just like how Rizal’s write a literatures, creating arts and focusing on the Filipino culture to
stir up the patriotic feelings of everyone. You can fight for your rights by writing your
thoughts or opinions, you can use internet in questioning the Government on how they act
in this pandemic situation. You can help people in informing in them by writing what to do
and what not to do to avoid being infected. Always remember what Jose Rizal said that
Youth is the hope of our country “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng Bayan” and apply it to
yourself because who will act if the youth themselves are doing nothing and making the
situation worst.
