FARMAID : PLANT BLACK SPOT DISEASE

DETECTION ROBO

Farming is the source of our food supply. Arguably the most

important aspect of agriculture is that it's the source of the world's
food supply. ... In countries dealing with food insecurity and severe
malnourishment, it's because their agriculture sectors are suffering.
When agriculture thrives, fewer people go hungry. A farmer always
wants to grow healthy crops and also wants to saves his time .
Technological innovations have greatly shaped agriculture throughout
time. From the creation of the plow to the global positioning system
(GPS) driven precision farming equipment, humans have developed
new ways to make farming more efficient and grow more food.
Nowadays, technology is significantly helping growers and farmers in
several ways, including precise forecasting, data-driven decision
making, and more. The changes have also resulted in a positive
impact on the bottom line of most farmers and ultimately led to
improved accesses to food products, at reasonable prices. We want to
build a autonomous robot that can move in a farm environment
without damaging existing plants or soil and use object detection to
find and black spot on crops with an environmentally safe color.
Traditionally, humans have to manually inspect large farms. This
takes a lot of time and effort. A uniform robotic platform going
around the farm will solve these problems and make the marking
much faster. The speed can also make it easier to share the platform
between multiple farms.

Challenges:

 Keeping the size/weight of the robot small enough that it doesn't

damage the crops itself.
 Navigating without damaging existing crops.
 Finding a way to safely mark black spots.

We also added another features that is when the farmaid robo detect
the black spots on the crop it can spray eco friendly pesticides on it or
we can also use drone for spray the eco friendly pesticides . So there
will be more of vertical and urban farming and there will also be
efforts in long term to find new areas for production like barren
deserts and seawater. Precision farming with soil testing-based
decisions, automation using technologies will be focused for precise
application inputs in agriculture.
