Explain why it is important for classroom staff to be involved in the interpretation of the

assessment Results and the subsequent IEP development.

Discussion one

The staff members interact with learners daily during classwork, and thus they can tell the

students with disabilities and the best-performing students. Assessment plays a key role to

learners who require special education; for instance, how a teacher can handle the learners using

a braille keyboard. Students with disabilities require attention to perform better in their

academics. Teachers should be involved in assessment to develop students' IEPs and speak

about the improvement of their service. Besides, staff members understand each student's

background since the learners have different cultures, languages, and family statuses. Some

students come from low-income families while others come from rich families; hence their

teachers understand how to teach them better.

Discussion two

Teachers should be involved in interpreting assessments to enable them to give their views about

students with disabilities. The development process for IEP requires a lot of knowledge and ideas

from different teachers. The stakeholders and directors can make decisions after getting ideas

from the classroom staff. Involving teachers in the assessment of results is useful in setting new

goals that are achievable and standard. The grading practice for students with disabilities is

modified to make it fair to students living with disabilities.

Discussion three

By involving teachers in assessing results and developing the IEP process will help the directors

and stakeholders identify any areas of weakness, like the need to employ more staff members to
help in teaching. The Directors understand where to help the teachers by involving them in

assessment; for instance, training them to provide special education to students with disabilities.

Assessment of education plan helps special education teachers interpret and communicate to

other staff members and families on how to monitor students with disabilities.
