Speaking of education, I believe that online learning will be the future of it.

Not only during pandemics of COVID-19 but after some years from now, I think
fewer students will go to schools. As technology gets more advanced day by day,
people will find more effective ways of doing anything, including learning. Online
learning could be the answer because you spend less money and less time on online
learning.
As a teacher, I honestly prefer face-to-face instruction at school rather than
using an online learning platform. The reason is to teach students, especially primary
students, we need to show the model, using concrete objects, teach them to share, and
do group works. Some things are better to be taught face-to-face with our students.
On the other hand, online learning as the future of education is inevitable. We
have to accept it, embrace it, and prepare ourselves to get used to it. As I mentioned
before, by learning online we spend less money and less time. We can chop many
expenses such as cost for building maintenance, providing supplies and equipment.
We can teach more students, no matter how far the distance is. Besides, we’ll have
more time to do other things because we don’t have to get stuck in the car in traffic
jams for hours. The one that I like the most about online learning is the parents
somehow have to get involved in their children’s education. But every coin has two
faces. We have to admit that online learning has some disadvantages too. First,
students-especially in the early-stage will lose their opportunity to socialize with
friends. Second, the result of every assessment is questionable, we don’t know
whether they do the tests independently or with any other’s help.
The best way to structure online learning for primary students is to encourage
the children to explore every subject, be independent, make arguments or opinions,
and make interactive online learning. Using live online quiz is also interesting for
children.
Last but not least, I’d like to tell my opinion about Malaysia’s initiative for
helping underprivileged children. I think this is so considerate, very thoughtful,
impactful and so inspiring. More countries should follow this to help more
underprivileged children. This can cause a big cost but education is the only way to
change the world. More well-educated children mean more chance to change the
world. We really should put our minds on it!
