Course Components

Exams

A designated number of midterm exams and a final exam will test your grasp of the materials
discussed in class and in the assigned readings.

NOTE:

·        Class attendance and participation in class discussion is expected and absences will affect
your final grade.

·        The due dates for assignments are non-negotiable and late work will be penalized.

·        All assignments are to be professional in appearance, typed and submitted on LMS as well
to receive full credit.

Class Participation

Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions and presentations. Your knowledge
and practical experience will add to the quality of learning throughout the course term.

Case Assignments

You will answer basic “case analysis” questions from cases assigned in the text. The goal is to
enable you to apply the information that we have discussed to these real-world situations to
apply the concepts and principles presented in the course.

Quizzes

Quizzes can be taken in every session. It is expected that the student is prepared and is aware
of the concepts.

Term Report:

Please strictly follow the instructions given below. This is being done to remove ambiguities at the outset and to
caution you about the mistakes students tend to commit.

1 Term report is a very essential, rather crucial requirement of this course and any attempt at
cutting corners will be closely monitored and penalized, students are advised to put in
required inputs in terms of time and attention in meeting this very important aspect of hits
course requirement.

2 All students are required to write a 30 to 35 (double spaced) page Term report on an
organization in Pakistan. The report should be free from typographical errors.

3 The Term report along with appendices will be submitted in original (that is, as it comes off
the typewriter or the PC printer). Non-compliance with this case will not get you a passing
grade on the Term report.

4 You are required to inform the instructor about the name of the organization you will be
writing on by 3rd session.

5 The contents of the case should include, but should not be limited by the following:

Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) Evaluate Choices and conclude about feasible
direction after mitigating risk

i. Implementation plan of chosen Strategy
