Problem 1 (30 points)
1. Definitions of Node, Branch, Loop, Mesh. And give examples in the
circuit.
2. List the characteristics of series circuit and parallel circuit.
3. What are the Kirchhoff’s Current Law and Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law?

Problem 2 (20 points)

Find v1 and v2 in the circuit below
Problem 3 (30 points)
The currents ia and ib in the circuit below are 4A and -2A, respectively.

1. Find ig.
2. Find the power dissipated in each resistor.
3. Find vg.
4. Show that the power delivered by the current source is equal to the power
absorbed by all the other elements.

Problem 4 (20 points)

Use the Kirchhoff’s laws to find the value of v0 and Vbc in the circuit in the figure
below.
