The Transmission Model of communication describes communication as a linear, one-way


process in which a sender intentionally transmits a message to a receiver
The similarities of the two models of communication which are linear and transactional, is
Linear is very basic, whereas, transactional builds upon it. And both of these models
involves communication between the Sender and the Receiver.

Transactional model, generally speaking, refers to a model in which interactions in two
directions are considered together, for example from one person to another and back, or
from one subsystem to another and back.
