ASSIGNMENT: THOUGHT PAPER

INTRODUCTION
Our topic is about the speech of Cory Aquino, in this part I discussed who is the Author of this
speech, when it took place and where it took place. Besides this we will also know who the
primary source of this speech is, and what this speech by Cory Aquino is about. Who is Cory
Aquino? Maria Corazon Cojuanco Aquino or better known as Corazon Aquino was born on
January 25, 1933 in Paniqui Tarlac, and she died on August 01, 2009 at Makati Medical Center.
The primary source of this speech is none other than Corazon Aquino, because her himself
published her Speech in front of many people. The speech took place on September 18, 1986.
The speech was held in Washington DC. Corazon Aquino also became the 11th president of our
country

ANALYSIS
In this part, I will discuss the important things that happened or the important things that
Corazon Aquino said in his speech and why it has become Historical Until now. Corazon Aquino
shared in her speech the experiences and grief of losing a loving husband and a good father of
her family. So it became Historical in our Country because she is known as a brave and good
legislator of our country, although she was the first woman to become president of our country,
and she also helped for Filipino freedom in the Marcos Regime. Corazon Aquino was the
president of our country from 1986 to 1992, although I cannot remember the exact date of her
term only the year I remember. Corazon Aquino was also the reason for the liberation of the
Filipinos from the Marcos’s to change the government that our country had then. It is one of the
History of our country, because in his perseverance he gave the freedom of the Filipinos.It is still
relevant in our country because students study it to find out what happened when he was the
president of the Philippines, and other than that if you are wondering what language he used in
his speech, for me he used English words so that Americans could understand what he was
saying and where about his Speech.

CONCLUSION
In this last part I will summarize my Conclusion in his speech. Of course I can’t deny the beauty
of his administration when he was still alive and he was still the former president of our country,
other than that I also admire the courage he showed for our country how he fought for the
freedom of the Filipinos in the Marcos. It has been Historical for me Until now because, he
narrated how he felt when he lost his wife, and because of his resilience and courage. Aside from
that I admire our late President Corazon Aquino, because even though he lost his wife and his
family lost a good father, he was able to withstand all the trials that came to her, She was able to
help the Philippines to free the Marcos’s, and above all I admire the courage she showed when
she was still the president of the Philippines.
