The guidelines issued by MP Government Higher Education Department’s Oder No.
704/C.C./2021/38 (Government Guidelines) dated 9 September, 2021 and the ‘UGC Guidelines
for Re-opening of the Universities and Colleges Post Lockdown due to COVID-19
Pandemic’ (the UGC Guidelines), dated 5th November 2020 and numbered D.O. 14-8/2020(CP-
II) National Law Institute University, Bhopal open hybrid classes and the hostel facilities for
B.A.LL.B Final Year/ LL.M/MCLIS Final Year/Ph.D. students.

This document encompasses the guidelines and rules to be followed by students, faculty,
administrative staff, vendors, visitors, workers etc. The University Administration and Student Bar
Association will enforce these guidelines in the University. Compliance of the guidelines and
rules made by the University shall be mandatory. In case of non-compliance/wilful defiance,
strict action will be taken against the student and employees.

GUIDELINES FOR ARRIVAL IN THE CAMPUS

The following guidelines are being put in place on arrival of the students on the University campus:

1. Only those students who submit their and their parents/guardians clear and unequivocal
consent to follow the guidelines shall be allowed to enter in the campus. Consent Forms
for the same is provided as Annexure-I to Annexure-IV to these guidelines.
2. Students will sign / get forms signed by their parents/guardians as provided in Annexure-
I to Annexure-IV. The same will have the effect of assumption of risk and expenses to be
borne by parents in case of COVID-19 and related illness of their ward.
3. Scanned copies of all the above-mentioned forms shall be sent to the Student Bar
Association/respective wardens through a Google Form circulated specifically for that
purpose. Upon arrival, the students shall produce the hard copies of the signed
consent forms, along with their Student ID Card/Aadhaar Card while entering the
campus.
4. It is mandatory for the students to submit vaccination certificate of the final vaccination
through a Google Form circulated specifically for that purpose. Upon arrival, the students
shall produce the hard copies of the final vaccination certificate to the respective
Hostel Wardens.
5. Students will be required to submit a COVID –19 negative RT-PCR Report online; this
report must not be older than 72 hours prior to return to the campus. The report will
have to be shared with the Student Bar Association/respective wardens through a Google
Form circulated specifically for that purpose.
6. The Student Bar Association and respective wardens shall verify the COVID-negative
RT-PCR Report.
7. Students who have submitted COVID 19 negative RT-PCR Report shall be permitted to
enter the campus. Students exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 are prohibited to enter
the campus. Students with comorbidities are advised to not come to the campus since
they are at high risk.
8. Every student will be required to self-monitor their health at all times. The University
Administration will make appropriate arrangements for regular monitoring of health of the
students.
9. No students shall be allowed to go out of the campus except in emergency situations, with
prior written permission of the respective warden in-charge.

10. All persons on the University campus must frequently wash their hands with soap. Alcohol
based hand sanitizers can be used wherever required.
11. All persons on the University campus must observe respiratory hygiene/coughing
etiquettes. While coughing or sneezing, mouth must be covered with
mask/tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow. Used tissue shall be disposed of in the Dustbins.
12. All persons on the campus must self-monitor their health. They shall report any observed
signs and symptoms of COVID-19 or any illness to the healthcare centre attendant
immediately.
13. Use of Aarogya Setu App shall be mandatory on campus. The status of the app must be
updated at frequent intervals.
14. Physical distancing of 6 feet (do gaz ki doori) is to be observed at all times in the classrooms,
library, canteen, coffee stall, salon, gym and any common/public areas of the University.
15. Face masks are mandatory at all times in public areas. The appropriate authority designated
for this purpose by the University may impose penalty for non-compliance.

GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED TO ENTER THE UNIVERSITY

Students will be required to comply with the following guidelines upon arrival:

1. Compulsory registration of relevant details will be done at the University Main Gate before
the student is allowed to step inside the campus. Thus, all students are advised to carry all
the document including 72 hours COVID negative RT PCR report, Vaccination certificates,
Identity Cards, undertakings, both the signed consent forms etc. while returning to campus.
2. Students entering the University campus shall be required to submit the details of the place
from which they are coming.
3. Students are advised to avoid touching any register, equipment and areas exposed to
physical contact at the University Main Gate. An employee of the University will register
the details of the students, verify the documents and approve the entry of the student.
4. After being approved to enter the campus, the students must keep their luggage at a
designated place for getting it sanitized. The security staff shall sanitize their luggage at the
entry gate.
5. The guard at the University main gate will record the temperature of the student with a
thermal gun. All the students residing in hostel will be provided a corona safety kit
containing masks, sanitizers, handwash etc.at the main gate of the university.
6. After completion of the procedures at the University Main Gate, the students must proceed
to their pre-allotted rooms. Students are requested to coordinate and cooperate with
the respective wardens.
7. Students coming from Kerala, Maharashtra. Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and any
other place where the COVID-19 cases are being found in high numbers will be
additionally required to be quarantined in the Guest House for not less than 5 days
before entering the hostels.

GUIDELINES UPON ARRIVAL TO THE UNIVERSITY FOR NON RESIDENT STUDENT

1. Students residing within the municipal limits of Bhopal shall not be accommodated in the
hostels. (Subject to any change in the Guidelines)
2. All the day scholar students of Bhopal will be required to register themselves at the
University Main Gate every-day before entering the University campus.
3. Day scholar students shall not be allowed to enter the hostel premises.
4. Day scholar students shall be required to leave the campus latest by 07:00 p.m.
5. Parking space for the day scholar students will be provided in the open space in front of
the Boys’ Hostels.
6. University shall provide pick-up and drop facility of NLIU bus service before and after
classes at Sakshi Dhaba to the day scholars, if required.
7. The day scholar shall ensure strict compliance with proper COVID-19 protocol and shall
wear a mask at all times while on campus.
8. The Day scholars shall also submit the undertaking forms, vaccination certificates
and RT-PCR reports prior to 72 hours, Vaccination certificates, Identity Cards,
undertakings, both the signed consent forms etc. for entering to Campus.’

GUIDELINES FOR SANITIZATION AT THE UNIVERSITY

The following guidelines are being put to ensure general sanitization of the University

1. Sensor sanitizers dispensers/spray sanitizer bottles shall be kept at various strategic


locations such as entry points of both the academic blocks, all hostels, Gyan-Mandir, Guest
House, Convention Centre, Administration Building, Mess and the sports complex, etc.
2. It shall be mandatory for every student to sanitise their hands while entering all the above-
mentioned buildings.
3. Use of face masks is mandatory at all times in the public/common areas of the University.
Students can take off their masks once they are in their own rooms and not otherwise. If
any student is found without mask or in violation of COVID -19 protocol, then they may
be subjected to fine of Rs.100/- for the first instance of violation and Rs. 200/- for the
second violation, and upon the third violation student may be expelled from the hostel.
4. Classrooms, library and other areas used for academic purposes will be sanitized and cleaned
on a regular basis. The first sanitization of the classrooms will be done before the classes in
morning at 08:30 AM and second after completion of classes each day at 02:00 PM.
5. All the students are advised to carry small bottles of sanitizers with them at all times and
they must use sanitizer frequently to clean their hands even if they are visibly clean.
6. All the students of the University will be compulsorily required to carry their own water
bottles. They can refill their bottles from warden office.
7. It is compulsory for all the hostel resident students to attend classes as per the schedule
prepared by the University.
8. There shall be no social gathering/function/program/events organized on campus
9. The respective hostel care takers shall record the temperature of the students daily and
maintain a register for the same. In case a student is found to have body temperature more
than 99-degree Fahrenheit, the same shall be reported to the Registrar and Warden of the
concerned hostel immediately.
10. One dustbin will be put in each hostel and each academic blocks. These dustbins will
be used for disposal of masks, tissues and any other similar thing exposed to the risk of
COVID-19 infection.
11. Registrar shall issue a show cause notice to any person violating COVID-19 norms on the
University campus.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES FOR THE HOSTELS

1. The Old Boys Hostel/Old Girls Hostel having single occupancy rooms shall be used for
residence and self-quarantine of the students in the initial days after entering back to the
campus.
2. Students coming from Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and any other
states where the COVID-19 cases are high in numbers will be required to be quarantined
in the New Girls Hostel (girls) and Healthcare Centre (boys) for not less than 5 days
before entering the hostels.
3. Students will be allotted the rooms by respective Wardens. The new list of room allotment
will be notified by the Wardens.
4. Every student shall wear masks within the hostel premises and the University, unless the
student is in his/her own room.
5. No student shall be allowed to remain out of the hostel after 11:00 p.m.
6. Students must sanitize their hands before touching any surface e.g. water coolers, washroom
and restroom handles etc.
7. Sanitizer dispensers shall be provided at the entry point of the mess and each hostel.
8. Washrooms of the hostels and other common areas will be regularly sanitized and
cleaned regularly.
9. Students shall not visit the rooms of other students.
10. Congregation of any kind in the common areas of the hostels is to be avoided at all
times.
11. If any student is found without mask or in violation of COVID -19 protocol, then they may
be subjected to fine of Rs.100/- for the first instance of violation and Rs. 200/- for the
second violation, and upon the third violation student may be expelled from the hostel.
12. The Student Bar Association and respective wardens shall verify the COVID 19 negative
RT-PCR Report.

GUIDELINES FOR THE HOSTEL MESS:

13. The maximum seating capacity per mess is about 50 students, the food will be served
ensuring social distancing. Only half of the total number of residents of the hostel shall be
allowed to eat together in each time slot. The food will be served in 30 mins slots each. The
Wardens of each hostels shall draw up the schedule for the mess timings.
14. Food will be served only by the mess workers. Each such mess worker shall be required
to wear Personal Protective Equipment kit, which shall be provided by the mess
contractor, while serving food. No student shall be allowed to touch the serving spoons or
the food container.
15. No students shall be allowed to carry food out of the dining hall; any student found in
violation of this shall be a fined of Rs 200/- by the warden of the respective hostels. In case
a student is found involved in the second violation, he/she shall be fined of Rs. 500/-. In
case of further violation, the student may be expelled from the hostel.
16. No student of the University shall be allowed to enter the mess kitchen, other than students
representatives of the Mess Committee, for the purpose of inspecting the mess.
17. The tables and chairs of the mess shall be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before
and after every meal. No student will be allowed to enter the mess before the sanitization
is done.
18. The seating arrangement in the mess will be appropriately maintained to ensure social
distancing. No student will be allowed to shift the chairs and change the seating arrangement
of the mess.
19. As far as possible, only freshly prepared meals shall be served in the mess to avoid the risk
of contamination by the COVID 19 virus.
20. Every student shall follow all the above guidelines, any student is found in violation shall
be imposed with suitable penalty by the Registrar.

GUIDELINES FOR MESS WORKERS:

The Mess Contractor will be sent a copy of guidelines relevant for the purposes of preparation of
food and maintenance of the mess dining/kitchen areas. The mess workers will be instructed to
comply with the following rules for their safety and the safety of those consuming mess food:

1. Mess workers of the University will be required to come back to the campus 7 days prior
to reopening of the hostel and mess.
2. The workers of the mess must undergo RT-PCR test for COVID not more than 72 hours
before entering the University campus. Only on being confirmed COVID-negative will
they be allowed on the campus.
3. The Mess Contractor must ensure that all the workers are tested for COVID-19. In case of
violation of this guideline, the University Authority can take any action against the
Contractor as per the contract.
4. The mess workers will be required to follow all the rules for entering campus applicable to
students.
5. The mess workers shall not be allowed to leave the campus in any circumstances, except
for medical/family emergency.
6. Supply of items needed for daily usage shall be provided to the workers by the mess
contractor or any agent deputed by him for this purpose. Mess workers will not be allowed
to leave the campus to get these goods.
7. Students must not come in physical contact with the mess workers. The mess committee
will inspect the hygiene of mess and quality of food. While inspecting mess committee shall
be required to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet with mess workers while they are on
inspection duty.
8. The mess workers shall wear face masks and face shields at all times while working in the
mess kitchen. Mess contractor shall provide a set of gloves to each mess worker for each
day of work in the mess and same shall be disposed of after the work.
9. In cases of violation of COVID 19 protocols and above directions shall be liable for spot
fine by Registrar extending up to Rs. 1000/- for each instance.
10. No mess worker shall consume pan masala/ beedi/cigarettes/liquor etc. on the
campus.
11. Spitting on the University campus is a punishable offence per Rule Number 4.2.2
(xi) of the UGC Guidelines. Any person found spitting on the campus of the University

shall be liable to be punished with a fine, which may extend to 1000 Rupees/per instance,
and in this case the fine will be borne by the Mess Contractor and this fine will be deducted
from the payment made to the Mess Contractor by the University for his/her services.

LAUNDRY SERVICES AT THE UNIVERSITY:

Laundry is an essential service needed to maintain the cleanliness and general hygeine of the hostels.
The follwing guidelines are to be observed at the University in using the laundry services:

1. Students are advised to wash their clothes themselves to avoid the risk of spreading the
virus. However, the laundry services will be made available to the students of the University
twice a week.
2. The laundry service will be available in the University on Monday and on Thursday.
3. The students who are desirous of using laundry service should prepare their packet properly
tagged and leave it with the guard at main gate.
4. Pickup and drop-off for laundry will be available only near the Hostel Main Gates
between 06:00 PM – 08:00 PM on both days where the guards of the University will
ensure physical distancing.
5. The laundry service provider will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment during
collecting/distributing the clothes of students.
6. Student are advised not to touch register and pens of the laundry service provider and the
service provider will himself enter the details of the students, their clothes and status of
payment.
7. Digital modes of payment shall be preferred.
8. Iinner garments, handkerchiefs, socks, reusable masks will not be allowed for laundry
services as long as these guidelines continue to remain in force.

QUARANTINE GUIDELINES IN CASE OF INFECTION

1. The HealthCare Centre shall be the isolation centre for boys in case any students develop
COVID 19 relatable symptoms while residing campus.
2. Every student in isolation centre shall undergo various essential test for diagnosis whereby
expenses shall be borne by such student and till the reports arrive they shall remain in the
isolation centre till further directions made by medical officers.
3. Registrar shall ensure the availability of basic facilities and necessary medicines to be
available in the Health Care Centre.
4. COVID 19 positive Symptomatic students will have to undergo a RT-PCR test. The
University ambulance will be used to take them to a nearby hospital for the same. The
vehicle in charge shall ensure ambulance to be regularly sanitized.
5. The students who have symptoms of COVID-19 shall disclose the contacts of
students/workers/faculty for previous three days who shall be quarantined/undergo RT-
PCR test mandatorily.
6. Every student tested positively for RT-PCR test shall be admitted to the hospital having tie
up with the university or to the hospital of his choice and the expenses shall be borne by
the student.
7. In such instances, the students on the floors of the hostel where symptomatic/COVID
positive student was residing, will also have to quarantine in the designated hostels.
8. If a mess worker, housekeeping or any other staff tests positive, then everyone on campus
who have been in contact with such staff member shall be required to self-quarantine for at
least 2 days.
9. Medical expenses, if any, will be borne by the students themselves or their parents.

GUIDELINES FOR CLASSROOMS

All the students of the University who will be allowed to reside on campus will be compulsorily
required to follow these guidelines while visiting the classrooms:

1. The physical classes of B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Final Year, LL.M. and MCLIS Second Year shall
be conducted through hybrid mode. Physical classes shall be conducted with the maximum
50% sitting strength of a class and for the excess students, separate section shall be created,
and remaining students shall continue to attend their class through online mode using
WebEx. Auditorium shall also be available to accommodate more students if such a
situation arises.
2. Class attendance shall be mandatory for all the students either attending class through online
mode or offline mode.
3. All the students residing in the hostel shall attend the physical class mandatorily
4. No student residing in hostel shall be allowed to remain in hostel without prior written
permission of the warden during teaching sessions.
5. In case any hostel resident does not attend physical classes, the reason for the same shall be
required to be communicated to the warden of the respective hostel.
6. All the classrooms shall be kept properly ventilated at all times.
7. At the gate of academic blocks/auditorium there shall be screening through thermal guns
and sanitization spray bottles/sensor based sanitizer dispensor shall be available.
8. Students shall not remove their masks while they are present in the classrooms. Students in
violation of this norm students can be fined rs. 100/- for the first instance, Rs. 200/- for
the second instance and upon the third violation student maybe debarred from attending
offline classes and his attendance will be liable to be forfeited.
9. All the classrooms and all the washrooms of the Academic Blocks shall be regularly cleaned
and sanitized with Hypocloride solution/soap.

GUIDELINES FOR LIBRARY

FOR THE LIBRARY GENERALLY:

1. The library shall be open for the students from 10:00 AM to 09:00 PM.
2. The library shall be functioning at 50% of its functional strength to ensure implementation
of the COVID-19 norms and Library In-charge shall ensure proper seating arrangements
in the library in order to maintain social distancing and implement COVID-19 protocols.
3. Students will be required to wear mask at all times while they are inside the library premises.
4. Every student/faculty/employee shall be screened at gate of Gyan Mandir (library) through
thermal guns and sanitization spray bottles shall be available.
5. The guard at the gate of the library shall not allow the student/faculty/employees without
masks inside the library.
6. Each student shall be allowed to issue two books from the library at a time.
7. UV Sanitizers may be used for sanitizing the books upon receiving them from
students/faculty or issuing to students/faculty.
8. Books must be kept aside in a sanitized jute bag for a period of 72 hours before keeping
them on the shelves again.
9. The library staff involved in circulating books must wear masks and ensure strict
observation of COVID-19 protocols in the library. In case of any violation of COVID-19
protocols inside the library, the student/faculty/employees may be fined Rs. 100/- in the
first instance of violation by the library-in-charge, Rs. 200/- in the second instance of
violation and a third violation may result in permanent disbarment from using the library
services for students.

GUIDELINES FOR PRINTING SECTION:

1. Printing Section of the University shall receive the documents by students through email or
through google drive for printing.
2. The students must upload the document through email or through Google drive at least 01
(one) hour prior to the time they need the printed document.
3. Before coming to the Printing Section, students must enquire about the status of their
document. They can visit the Printing Section only and only after their document is ready
for being collected.
4. Digital modes of payment would be preferable.
5. All the employees working in the printing section and all the students visiting the printing
section shall wear masks all the time and ensure social distancing while functioning
6. There shall be screening through thermal guns and sanitization spray bottles shall be
available.
7. The vendor shall ensure social distancing and all other COVID 19 protocols.

GUIDELINES FOR CANTEEN, COFFEE STALL AND SALON

GUIDELINES FOR CANTEEN:

Following guidelines are being put in place for functioning of the University Canteen:

1. The vendor shall sanitize the canteen on regular intervals


2. All the employees working in the canteen and all the students visiting the canteen shall wear
masks all the time and ensure social distancing while functioning
3. The vendor shall ensure the seating arrangement in light of social distancing
4. There shall be screening through thermal guns and sanitization spray bottles shall be
available.
5. Digital mode of payment would be preferable
6. Based on previous practice canteen food shall be placed on the counter from where the
students will collect the food with social distancing and carry their food to their table.
7. The workers of the canteen who will be required to wear full Personal Protective
Equipment kit during serving food. Student will not be allowed to touch the serving spoons
or the food container.
8. No student of the University shall be allowed to enter the canteen kitchen at any point of
time. Student representatives of the Mess Committee, for the purpose of inspecting the
canteen, will be allowed to visit the kitchen.
9. No student will be allowed to shift the chairs and change the seating arrangement of the
canteen.
10. Only freshly prepared hot food will be provided in the canteen to avoid the risk of
contamination by the virus.

GUIDELINES

GUIDELINES FOR COFFEE STALL:

1. There shall be no sitting near the coffee stall in open spaces to maintain social distancing.
2. Markings on the ground will be made to ensure social distancing at the coffee stall.
3. Students taking consumables from coffee stall can use canteen for sitting and having food.
Alternatively, they can also use Gazebo near the canteen.
4. The vendor at the coffee stall will be advised to wear masks, face shield and take necessary
protective measures at all times.
5. There shall be screening through thermal guns and sanitization spray bottles shall be
available.
6. Digital mode of payment would be preferable

GUIDELINES FOR SALON:

1. The workers of the salon will be required to wear full Personal Protective Equipment kit
during services.
2. The students shall follow all the COVID 19 protocols during their visit to salon.
3. The students of the University shall schedule their visit to the salon beforehand
4. There shall be screening through thermal guns and sanitization spray bottles shall be
available.
5. At any particular time, only one person in male and female section each, will be allowed
inside the salon apart from the barber/beautician.
6. The barber/beautician will be advised to wear mask, face shield and gloves at all times in
the salon.
7. All the equipment shall be regularly sanitized before and after usage.
8. Disposable sheets shall be used.
9. The students must ensure that the barber/beautician sanitizes all the equipment before
using them.

GUIDELINES FOR SPORTS COMPLEX

The following guidelines are being put in place for operation of the Sports Complex:

1. No such games/sports/sports competitions shall be played violating social distancing protocol.


2. Any point of time more than 30 students shall not be allowed inside sports complex and 20 students
shall not be allowed in gym.
3. All the employees working in the sports complex and all the students visiting the sports complex
shall wear masks all the time and ensure social distancing while functioning
4. There shall be screening through thermal guns and sanitization spray bottles shall be available.
5. The registered students shall be allotted specified time slots for using the gym, the schedule for
which shall be finalized and notified by Sports-in-charge. The students shall be required to strictly
adhere to the time slots provided.
6. Sports complex shall be exclusively open for female students from 7:30am to 8:30am and 6pm
to 7pm, every day. No male students shall be allowed during these hours.
7. Indoor games such as badminton, billiards, table-tennis etc. shall be accessible for students subject
to the condition that strict social distancing is followed while using such facilities.
8. The sporting equipment to be used will be sanitized before each use. Usage of any equipment
without sanitization will not be permissible.
9. Students are encouraged to bring their own equipment (sports equipment, yoga mats, towels) to the
areas open for access as far as possible and avoid exchanging them with other students.
10. There shall be screening through thermal guns and sanitization spray bottles shall be made available.
11. Students will be required to follow all the COVID-19 related guidelines generally applicable to all
areas of the University in and around the Sports Complex also.
12. All the equipment will be regularly sanitized before usage.

GUIDELINES FOR ESSENTIALS AND DELIVERY SERVICES

1. Students may avail NLIU bus facility twice a week, visiting the market. The days of such visit
maybe fixed in consultation with SBA.
2. In case of wider spread of pandemic bus services shall be terminated.
3. For the remaining days in case of emergency situation the physical instructor Dr. Baljeet
Singh shall be the nodal officer of the committee constituted for the processing essential
supplies or items as required by students residing in hostels.
4. Dr. Baljeet Singh will be assisted by Mr. Kamlesh Shrivas. Both shall collect the list of items
to be purchased from market with coordination of students, hostel caretakers, wardens to
procure the list and the amount and the cost for items. Both of them shall ensure the
purchase and delivery of these items to the respective students.
5. For purchasing of items, the regular official vehicle going out of the campus for various
works may be used or other available official vehicle can also be used for purchasing items
from market.
6. Purchased items shall be properly sanitized before they are delivered to the hostel residents.
7. SBA may nominate one student from each hostel boys/girls to receive purchase items from
nodal officer.
8. Any delivery from outside prepared food items shall not be allowed in the campus.
9. Digital mode of payment shall be encouraged for payment of items. Payments shall be taken
on prepaid basis.

GUIDELINES FOR GOING OUTSIDE THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

1. No student residing in the hostel shall be allowed to go out of the campus except with prior
permission in emergency situations.
2. All the students going out of the campus shall wear double masks and face shields
all the time and ensure social distancing while away from the campus.
3. Any student needs to move outside the University campus, written permission from
the warden of his/her hostel must be obtained. The application for this purpose must
provide the reason of visit outside the campus, duration of visit, place of visit and other
necessary details. Wardens will exercise the grant of this permission at their discretion only
in limited circumstances.
4. Students must inform the Vice Chancellor/Registrar/Chief Warden/Wardens in case of
any medical emergency of the same.
5. There shall be screening through thermal guns and sanitization spray bottles shall be
available.
6. After return to the campus, all the students will be required to undergo mandatory
sanitization at the University Main Gate. Such students must observe a mandatory 2-day
period of self-quarantine after entering the hostels and follow all the COVID-19 essential
protocols and guidelines.

GUIDELINES FOR VISITORS, VENDORS AND WORKERS

The visitors, vendors and workers on the campus will be required to comply with these guidelines:

1. No visitor/vendor/worker shall be allowed to enter the university campus without prior


appointment or specific purpose for the visit.
2. The details of visitors like name, phone number, purpose, entry, exit time, name of the
section to be visited shall be entered in the register kept for this purpose at the entry gate.
3. No visitor shall be allowed to enter hostel, academic blocks, library, canteen, mess,
Healthcare center.
4. There shall be screening through thermal guns and sanitization spray bottles shall be
available.
5. The contractors of mess/ construction work/ cleaning and security shall issue passes to
their workers who will show them at the entry gate before entering the campus.
5. Every visitor shall be screened at gate by thermal guns and shall undergo sanitizing ritual
before entering the campus.
6. All workers and vendors shall wear masks all time when on the campus. The worker shall
be provided with masks and other safety measures by their contractors.
7. All the vendors shall sanitize their premises regularly. They shall also ensure social
distancing norms to be followed while working on the premises.
8. All the students shall undergo mandatory sanitization at the university main gate and
boarding students shall observe 5 days mandatory period of self-quarantine and shall abide
by all COVID 19 protocols.
6. All the guidelines will be communicated to the workers, vendors and contractors in their
language of choice by the Student Bar Association of NLIU.

GUIDELINES FOR HEALTH CARE CENTRE

1. The centre shall be sanitized and cleaned on regular intervals


2. All the employees working in the centre and all the students visiting the centre shall wear
masks all the time.
3. Everyone in the centre shall maintain social distancing all the time.
4. There shall be screening through thermal guns and sanitization dispensers shall be available
at the entry of Healthcare Centre.
5. During isolation of suspected case, the wards shall be equipped with disposable bed sheets
and covers.
6. The waste shall be managed as per COVID 19 government norms.
7. There shall be a Task Force constituted under the chairmanship of the chief warden which
will include Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Hostel Wardens, Medical Officers, Clinical
Psychologist and SBA Office Bearers as members. The Task Force shall perform the
functions of supervision and implementation of preventive measures of COVID 19 and the
implementation of all the guidelines prepared by the administration of NLIU, Bhopal.

MEDICAL TIE-UPS FOR COVID-19 RELATED EMERGENCIES

Acknowledging the risk posed by the pandemic, the University is prepared for the situation.
Therefore, in cases of any symptoms related to COVID-19, the quarantined student shall be
administered a COVID RT-PCR test. The cost of the test shall be borne by the student
herself/himself. However, to facilitate the process, the University has made arrangements for the
students to visit special government COVID 19 hospitals

1. Dr. Kailashnath Katju Hospital, TT Nagar for treatment and


2. Khushilal Ayurvedic AYUSH hospital for mild infection isolations and treatment

besides the tie-ups hospitals

7. In event that I violate any of the guidelines issued by NLIU and/or guidelines issued by the central and
state government and district administration, I shall be subject to such action as prescribed by the NLIU
guidelines in addition to such action as may be specified in the guidelines issued by the governments
from time-to-time.

8. Students once entered will not be allowed to go outside the campus. However, in exceptional
circumstances like medical urgency et appropriate authority will permit the student to leave the campus.
Any violation of the guidelines, students may not be allowed to stay in the campus till the situation
improves.
