❖ Through a graphic organizer, the student is able to demonstrate his/her ability to compare and
contrast the various 21st Century Literary Common Themes, Literary Elements, Devices and

Techniques, Literary Approaches and Literary Genres and the ones from the earlier genres/periods
citing their elements, structures and traditions with the use of two representative texts from the
classic and contemporary literature.

TIME ALLOTMENT 4 synchronous sessions, 3-4 weeks asynchronous activity with monitoring, 3-4 weeks offline task completion

LESSON OUTLINE:
1. INTRODUCTION : Presentation of performance standard and SLO that will serve as a performance check of the Performance
task. (2 minutes)
2. MOTIVATION : Play the game “Guess that movie” and answer the given process questions.
(10 minutes)
3. INSTRUCTION/DELIVERY : The teacher will discuss the concepts and facilitate the synchronous discussion using Inquiry Method
(1st- 3rd Session)
4. PRACTICE : The teacher continues to facilitate the discussion with a higher application level using Socratic Method.

5. ENRICHMENT : The student initially fills out the graphic organizer based on the specific topic discussed.

6. EVALUATION : The student finalizes the graphic organizer considering all the comments and recommendations of the

critical approaches and literary genres consequently.
Moreover, the teacher will briefly explain the contribution of the mentioned topics in the writing of a close

2. MOTIVATION

❖ To start the lesson, the game “Guess that famous movie” will be introduced.

Instructions: Identify the films where the short clips/lines were taken.
Synchronous:They will submit their answers through the chat box, the first one to submit the correct
answer gets the point.
Asynchronous: Through the Discussion room/Discussion tab in LMS, the teacher will post the lines
and the students will answer through the reply button. The first student to answer gets the point.
