I. TITLE:
A Parish Church
A Parish Church is a church strategically built at the heart of the town and
plaza. It is intended for a particular ecclesiastical unit, such as city or town, and under
the jurisdiction of the resident priest assigned by the bishop. On the other hand, Parish
or Parokya (parroquia) is the place, usually the city or siyudad (ciudad) or town or
bayan (pueblos) including its adjoining barrios or baryo (barrio) and remote areas or
bisitas (visitas) that is under the religious jurisdiction of a resident priest. (R. Fernandez - DBAF)
St. Jude Thaddeus Parish Church in the City of Trece Martires is presently
experiencing congestion from its parishioners and avid devotees that seek spirituality,
faithfulness and other religious needs. With this premise, the Parish Priest, together with
the Parish Council and different church organizations are planning to construct four (4)
Churches of St. Jude across the city. The first of the four (4) churches which will be
located in Brgy. Inocencio is envisioned to mitigate the problem and will cater more
congregations, hence will serve other nearby communities of the faithful.
The prime objective is to design a modern-day Parish Church that considers the
