Guide Questions:
1. How do you define indigenous people?

Indigenous people are species of human population who are native

or we can naturally see in a particular region, place, or area. In layman’s
term they called locals or “lumad” in local dialects.

2. What are your perceptions about them?

If a person who grew in the city would think about indigenous
people they might see them as ignorant uncivilized people. But I believe that
in some part of history we all came in same nomadic culture we only had
been able to adapt in a fast paced cultural modernization.

In my own perception as I grew along with some indigenous people, I

see a of fascinating traits on them one of which is their ability to cope up with
global advancements while preserving their culture. Seeing them reminds me
of where we came from, the culture that once we are part of and how
wonderful the culture we have.
