Overall comments: Good Day, After a preliminary review of Donald Williams’s manuscript, we have
determined that the Form and Style review must be postponed until the manuscript meets some
minimal formatting requirements. I have attached a copy of the PhD dissertation template. Use of the
template will remedy most of the formatting issues. Please have the committee work with Donald to
revise the following:
• Missing abstract
• Format of the front matter
• Preliminary pagination
• Table of Contents
• Manuscript margins
• Missing List of Tables
• IRB approval number should be inserted in the narrative in Chapter 3 03-09-21-0304382
Please note that the purpose of the Form and Style review is to support students by ensuring the
correct use of grammar, punctuation, and APA style. The editors will also ensure the logic, flow, and
precision of the narrative. The prepublication formatting requirements are the responsibility of the
student. To assist with that, students can use the template for their program and follow the guidance
and resources in the Editors Top 10 Tips document and other resources located on the Form and
Style Review page of the Doctoral Capstone Form and Style website. Faculty may consult the Six
Steps to Mentoring a Form-and-Style-Ready Doctoral Capstone and other resources for committees
on the Toolbox for Faculty site. I am available to answer any specific questions and am ready to help
