Course Reminders

We continue to learn, grow and transform! Get excited as you’re another step closer to
becoming an effective Digital e-Learning Designer. For you to get the best experience out of the
program, we’ve put together some reminders and references to help you navigate through
PSTD’s Learning Experience Platform and successfully complete the five (5) sessions.

Please read through some simple reminders below before Day 1, and complete the easy pre-
work by August 31 (Monday).

COURSE REMINDERS

A. Expectations: What you need to need to put in to successfully complete the program

1. FB Group Chat: Communication is more critical in digital learning. Though we will


continue to send emails, please join, regularly check and actively participate in your
batch’s Facebook Group Chat for important announcements. The Announcement
section in our Learning Experience Platform will also be utilized.

2. Attendance: Please attend all live sessions as listed in the Course Description. Expect to
dedicate 2 hours of course work as we learn as a group, and another 2 hours of on-your-
own practice/ learning per module.

3. Learning output: We learn by doing. Please complete and submit on-time the learning
output to be assigned by your facilitator, in order to receive your Certificate of
Completion. You may refer to this table of activities for all outputs of activities for all
outputs and due date per module. Note that completion of all outputs per module is a
prerequisite for the live instructor-led sessions

4. Stable connection: As it is the learner’s accountability to get himself to the training


venue for a face-to-face workshop, it is the digital learner’s accountability to ensure
sufficient and stable internet connection to be able to attend and participate in our
online learning sessions. We suggest having a back-up if your current provider is
unreliable.

5. Environment conducive for learning: Please make sure you can be in a quiet place with
minimal distraction while attending our online learning session. Please test your
gadgets (ie., laptop, headphones, speakers) prior to our session.

6. Access to PSTDs Learning Experience Platform: Please test your username and
password before Day 1. Contact our technical support team if you need help logging in
and/or with basic navigation.

B. Pre-requisite work: What you need to do to prepare for before Day 1 of our learning session

1. Prepare some data or insights that you can use in performing a Training Needs Analysis.
It can come from data that you’ve already used for a training design before or a new set
of data. We suggest you use data that are easily accessible to you. They could be
performance reports, competency assessment results, etc.
2. We will be using iSpring Free to create our e-Learning modules. Please download it from
here: https://www.ispringsolutions.com/ispring-free This software should be
downloaded when we reach Module 2. Take note that this is a free version of iSpring e-
Learning Software therefore, you don’t need to pay any amount to download.

C. Frequently Asked Questions

1. After completing this 5-session course, will I be a Certified e-Learning Designer?


You will receive a Certificate of Completion for successfully completing all course
requirements.

To be a Certified e Leaning Designer , you need to undergo assessment. Please contact


Olin Lee at olin_lee@pstd.org or Viber No. 09993490543 for more details.

2. May I send a representative to attend one session on my behalf?

The course aims to build skills. Thus, we regret that we cannot accept substitution.

3. What if I wasn’t able to complete the learning output requirements, but attended all of
the online sessions?

You will receive a Certificate of Attendance. We strongly recommend however to


complete all coursework to get the most benefit from the program.

4. May I use my phone to attend our online classes?

The course design is blended. We strongly recommend using a laptop or desktop to


perform activities in our PSTD’s Learning Experience Platform.
