What is the moral lesson of the story "The Chicken and the Eagle"?

The moral of the story is that you become what you feel you are, thus if you ever want

to be an eagle, you should follow your dreams rather than the words of a chicken. We

were raised to believe we were chickens, despite the fact that we are described as

eagles. It doesn’t really matter if were raised in a chicken home and surrounded by

chicken pals just remember that you’re and eagle and follow your dreams and not the

words of the chicken. What you achieve and who you become is determined by your

beliefs and what others think of you is not who or what you are in reality. You should

make the most of your time, have fun, enjoy life, take chances for what you believe in,

and avoid growing old and regretting what you haven't done. This anecdote exemplifies

what we face in life. Many individuals (chickens) will try to persuade you to stay put and

will give you a million reasons why you shouldn't try to reach your full potential

(becoming the eagle you are). Many of us simply go with the flow and never take the

time to listen to our hearts, which is where the actual you and your true desires can be

found. It's a journey, and what works for others may not work for us, so making

mistakes is a good way to figure out what works best for us.

Is there a connection between the story and "Self-Awareness? Why?

Yes, There is a connection between the story and “ Self-Awareness” The Eagle is not
aware of his self-that’s why he believe that he is a chicken. The eagle in the narrative
had no idea that it could have greater freedom and it returned to the cage because he is
blocked by beliefs and assumptions of his society,

We must become conscious of our desires and learn to listen to them rather than what
the outside world wants us to do. It is a process that we must go through in order to
discover our genuine self, The majority of people are unaware that there is another way
or path to take because of the people manipulated us. In order to connect more deeply
with and find our true selves, we must first become aware of our self, then let go of them
and begin making our own decisions about how we want to live our lives.

Eldon Taylor's work aims to make us aware of how our thoughts are controlled, not just
by others but also by the media; he wants us to understand that we must think our own
thoughts and be aware of this. Tradition and passed-down beliefs, as well as the media,
have conditioned us. This has stymied us. We are receptive to ideas that aren't our own
we must think for ourselves and weigh our alternatives. I began to see myself as an
eagle I began to realize that a lot of the things I thought about myself, people, and the
world weren't really my own thoughts, If we want to grow, we must take the risk of
pursuing self-awareness, which may lead to a shift in our thinking and viewpoint.
