RATIONALE:

The Mapandan Municipal Government, in its desire to promote and implement

production sustainability, social equity and economic efficiency on the use of natural and
agricultural resources within the area in order to benefit the farmers and the barangay
populace.
These beneficiaries shall be made effective agents in food production for the
assurance that improved road condition for easy access in transporting farm inputs and
farm produced, will be made possible/available for their crops. The project will benefit the
local farmers and all constituents of the municipality.

OBJECTIVES:

General Objective: To improve road condition for easy access in transporting farm inputs
and farm produced of the farmers thereby assuring of poverty alleviation and economic
stability of our farmers.

Specific Objectives:
 To reduce cause of damage to farm produced like fruits and vegetables.
 To increase farmers’ income.
 To improve living condition of our farmers.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
 The project is rehabilitation and improvement of local access roads and local bridge
for accessible transportation of farm inputs and farm produced of the farmers. The project
will directly benefit or serve around 432 farmers of Barangays Aserda, Lambayan,
Nilombot, Torres & Jimenez and around 583 hectares of agricultural land which are
planted with rice, corn, mango and vegetables.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
The project shall be undertaken by the Mapandan Local Government Unit with the
supervision of Municipal Engineer and the Barangay Council of Brgys. Aserda, Lambayan,
Nilombot, Torres and Jimenez.

The LGU shall be responsible in monitoring on the actual usage of the project.
