BANGON Theory (Beyond All Noise, Gain On One’s Name)

Since the day of our births, we are controlled by our limitations that create further boundaries.
There are 3 limitations known as a mindset (thoughts/ attitude), time (Continuous - Can not take
back), and bodies (Physical impairments - visual or auditory). These limitations lead to noise
wherein prevents us to truly know ourselves.

BANGON theory proposes that what defines the self is the ambition or the drive to gain
something in one's name despite the noise.

Example: With people with critical illness, as outsiders, we initially see them as their physical
state. However, to them, there is still a positive driving force for them to survive or to gain on
one's name.

Keyword: Gain/ Ambition

Limitations:
Facticity (Jean-Paul Sartre) - Being defined by others at the present (Family, Society, and
Education)
Spatial-Temporal Being - We are settled in this confined space and time.
Body as an intermediary

HISTORY:
BANGON Theory was established when its scholars encountered stressful events in
their lives. These events involved existential dread that led them to contemplate their true
selves. Thus, they concluded that what defines the true self is the positive driving force or
ambition to stay alive despite the noise.

DEFINITION OF THE SELF:

The self here is defined as the AMBITION. It is our driving force and passion that makes
us who we are, to know our true self. By this, it motivates us to stay alive and keep ongoing.
