SHARP TOOL CONTROL

Definition

All tools used to support the production process, which


have an indication of a sharp part that has a dangerous
effect on customers or employees so that the usage must
be controlled and limited.
Response

 QualityControl – Responsible for verifying the state and process of using sharp
objects in the productionarea and controlling their distribution.
 Produksi – Responsible for distribution to the hands of each user and care for
sharp objects
 Quality Assurance – Responsible for monitoring the distribution and return of sharp
objects
 Maintenance - Responsible for distribution up to the hands of each user and
maintenance of sharpobjects
 Warehouse - Responsible for distribution up to the hands of each user and
maintenance of sharp objects

All department submits request form to QA dept

QA dept will evaluate, if QA approve, will be submitted to


the purchasing department for the purchase process.

 QA registers and assigns a number for each sharp object


 QC department distributes the use of sharp objects and records the usage register.
 QC inspector perform verification on process every 2x in one shift (Includes visual and
safety checks in use)

Reminder :
Safety for use sharp tool

- Cutter, Scissor, Etc -> It must be tied using a 12 "long rope and attached to a stationary object, such as a table leg
- Needle -> should be placed where the needle is closed, and if the user is going to leave the workplace the needle must be put back in place.
All production areas are prohibited from using cutters that have been broken and wrapped around using media other than precise cutters.

 For sharp objects that are broken, each department is obliged to find the remaining
fractures and make a CAPA (corrective action preventive action)

Verification

 The QA Department conducts an audit process every 2 weeks to


monitor QC field checks and records of countermeasures against
sharp tools or objects.

Regular meeting

 Once a 2 week after QA conducts a field audit process, the results of the audit findings will
be brought to the management for regular meting processes (monthly).
