Advertising objectives of an Ngo: -

Advocacy – For various groups of people or causes, NGOs work to advocate. Amnesty
International, an international human rights group, for example, reports that its team works
with US policy makerson topics related to refugees and asylum seekers, human rights
defenders, military and security, and international law violations.
Non-profits work to support and advocate for their clients and their causes to achieve their missions
and fulfill their visions.

• Campaigning – Non-profits carry out a variety of campaigning efforts to spread the word about the
work they do. They may participate in protests, send letters to government officials, write press
releases, or conduct email or social media campaigns. Through their work in raising awareness, they are
able to help achieve their objectives. They also collaborate with famous brands to help increase
awareness. For instance, an NGO called GOONJ collaborated with Whirlpool Corporation and “Ek Jodi
Kapda” project was launched where various centers were opened to collect donated clothes. In 2016,
the “Look Good Do Good” project was initiated along with Raymond which offered free custom tailoring
services on new pair of trousers in exchange of old trousers. This Trouser Exchange Program offered
every customer of Raymond a chance to give away their old trousers that would reach to people in
need.

• Fundraising – Fundraising and campaigning also go hand-in-hand. To live, an NGO must

fundraise. Its staff members write grants, carry out fundraising projects for social media, inspire
volunteers to hold fundraising events in their communities individually, and a range of other
initiatives to ensure that the organization can carry out its work well into the future .They also
seek large donations from individuals and corporations and invest them to help them to make a larger
impact over the long-term.

Nonprofits need fundraising officers to ensure that they can continue their work. Fundraising
responsibilities include creating corporate fundraising programs, checking the progress of fundraisers,
gathering data for grants, handling social media contact lists, find new ways to get more money from
contributors, recruit helpers and sponsors, and get promises of participation from individuals or
corporate donors.

• Providing Aid – Nonprofits do all of these activities in order to provide aid to their clients and to
support their causes. For instance, the 'clothes bank' of Goonj's provides clothes to millions of
poor and vulnerable people facing great misery, indignity in addition to health risk due to lack
of proper clothing in far flung regions of India. For nearly 2 two decades, Goonj has been working on
varied disasters from earthquakes to Tsunami, cyclones, floods, etc. Rahat as an initiative has evolved
into an active, reliable and time-tested network of stakeholders in both rural & urban India ensuring
their timely response for generating need-based disaster relief & rehabilitation efforts. As you can see,
even a very localized nonprofit can offer many types of aid to support those it serves.
