With a burning passion to share my knowledge, expertise and experiences

wholeheartedly. I am writing to express my interest in applying as Development
Management Officer I for Climate Chang Expenditure Tagging (Contract of
Service) under the Implementation Oversight Division. Given my related strength
and ample competencies I would appreciate your consideration for this job.

I completed my Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education and Diploma in Disaster Risk

and Management, licensed Professional Teacher and currently enrolled in Graduate
Studies taking up Master of Science in Disaster Risk and Management in Central Bicol
State University of Agriculture.

I have experience teaching Senior High School for three and half years, teaching
Filipino Language, ICT related subjects, Media and Information Literacy and Disaster
Readiness and Risk Reduction at Universidad de Sta. Isabel-Main Campus. I have also
handled one of the university’s student’s organizations as the Moderator of Social
Bloggers Guild and in my tenure, we were able to compete and won regional and
national short film festival, the Penafrancia Short Film Festival and Cinemalaya Short
Shorts Film Festival respectively.

Furthermore I am Ground Commander in our University Disaster Risk Management

Council. From that, I’ve become equipped with the necessary knowledge in teaching
and as an Operational (Field/Ground) Commander with the following competencies:
a. work theoretically and practically in all stages of climate change adaptation and
disaster management disaster-risk reduction, response and recovery and
understand how these are connected,
b. analyze and evaluate the underlying physical/environmental,
social/political/cultural economic, legal/institutional/organizational and health
related psychological aspects that influence the vulnerabilities and capacities of
individuals and communities to prepare for and prevent disasters,
c. monitor and evaluate hazard/risks through the conduct of research, trending,
mapping and establishing database for use in planning, implementing risk
reduction and preparedness actions,
c. analyze and evaluate recovery needs and implement, coordinate, collaborate
and evaluate activities for sustainable recovery; and
d. collect documents, analyze and communicate information regarding risks,
humanitarian needs or lessons learned from earlier disasters in order to mitigate
future disasters or calamities.
