2. The Future with Be Going To – Forms, Statements, Ye/No questions, short answers,
and wh- questions
a. I can unscramble words to form a sentence or question.
Ex. Sleep/where/you/are/going/to
Where are you going to sleep?
b. I can complete a sentence with the correct form of be going to and the verb in
parentheses and use contractions if possible.
Ex. We’re ___not going to finish__________________ the game. (not finish)
3. The future with Be Going to- uses and Choosing Will or Be going to (p. 142 & 143)
a. I can use cues to write affirmative or negative statements using be going to.
Ex. He / not play the piano.
He’s not going to play the piano.
b. I can decide if a statement is a prediction or a previous plan. (p. 143)
Ex. Robots will take some jobs away (Prediction)
