The film that I want to represent as a subject of my analysis is the
movie “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Bohemian Rhapsody tells the story of Mercury’s psychological warfare in coming to terms with his bisexuality. Freddie Mercury along with the guitarist, Brian May; the drummer, Roger Taylor, the bassist, John Deacon, they form the extremely successful British rock band, Queen. The psychological theories of this film are Humanistic, Personality, and Social Theory. Mercury entered into a serious relationship with Mary, they lived together for several years and even got engaged. Mercury told Mary he was bisexual, and the two maintain their friendship after splitting up. Freddie Mercury embraces his lifelong friend and inspiration behind the song “Love of My Life”. Bohemian Rhapsody, a worldwide hit song by Mercury. The lyrics behind the Bohemian Rhapsody have several meanings. It reflects on all he feels about, his religion, the music, the art, and everything. When Mercury was often visiting nightclubs and having one-night stands, he was infected with HIV virus. Mercury himself knew people with the disease. After displaying some signs of illness, his own HIV infection was confirmed. He was more upfront with his bandmates, than his family. He issued a statement, to confirm his illness, but he didn’t mention his sexuality, meaning he maintained his privacy to the very end.
