Course Outcome(s): Through this course students should be able to

• describe the rural setting in relation to agriculture and allied activities


• identify socio-economic conditions of the farmers and their problems with reference to agricultural
development
• evaluate diagnostic and remedial know how relevant to real field situations through practical training.
• develop communication skills using extension teaching methods in transfer of technology.
• visualize the ongoing extension and rural development programmes.
• develop confidence and competence to solve agricultural problems.

Description:

Research work exposes students to learn in-depth about their discipline and to undertake core research in the chosen
area of study and achieve the desired research outcomes. A research-based course offers to the students an
opportunity to work on a comprehensive project that demonstrates mastery of the contemporary issues in their
chosen field of research. The dissertation showcases evidence of wide reading and understanding of critical analysis
along with an appropriate use of advanced research techniques.
