protégé's ability through tutoring, coaching,
guidance, and emotional support.
- Plays an important role in helping his teammates
growth and development
- Coaching deals with helping others improve
performance because they will be motivated
since someone is coaching them
- A mentor can be an immediate manager, a staff
professional, a co-worker, or someone in another
company or industry. He is not limited as being
the leader only
- Helping the protégé solve problems is an
important part of mentoring. Since two heads are
better than one
- Mentoring can be an informal relationship, or a
formal relationship assigned by the company. It
depends to the team where are they comfortable
- shadowing, or directly observing the work
activities of the mentor by following around for a
stated period of time.
