Discursive Essay: Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of

living at home past the age of eighteen.

In this generation, living at home past the age of eighteen is
like the new standard. Many young adults have found it better than
living in any other living arrangement to live with their parents.
There are pros and cons of staying at home after the age of
eighteen.

One of the greatest benefits is that you can save a lot more
money by staying with your parents. Living in the same house as your
parents, indicates that since there will be more people to help in on
all those daily chores, you will not have to do too much housework.
Another advantage of living with your parents, besides being
cheaper and more convenient, is that there is a sense of comfort and
trust. The house is probably the one you grew up in.

However, along with these advantages, there are a few

drawbacks. There are many difficult lessons that life throws,
therefore you are shielding yourself not just from struggles, but
also from the lessons life has to bring, by living with your parents.
You are also likely to receive all kinds of instruction, even though you
do not ask for it. What you eat, how long you sleep, and how many
hours of video games you enjoy.

I would recommend living alone, in my perspective, so you can

be more optimistic and dependent on yourself and learn to move on
to the more difficult parts of life.
