Bloom’s Taxonomy Level(s):

☒ Remembering ☐ Understanding ☒ Applying ☐ Analyzing ☐ Evaluating ☒ Creating

Levels of Technology Integration:

☐ Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☒ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): The tool used in my lesson plan, Padlet, has so many capabilities in the
classroom. This tool can be used in individual work as well as in a group collaborative setting. My lesson plan
includes using the group collaborative features that Padlet offers. The teacher will choose the template that
they want the students to add their creativity to. Padlet offers different student learners the ability to add
videos, pictures, audio recordings, YouTube videos, and drawings to each thread. These features give
students a choice of how they want to display what they have learned. These options also give students
plenty of options to find one they can engage in and use to represent themselves.
Lesson idea implementation: This lesson plan will be implemented as an assessment of what the students
have learned while we have covered presidents in social studies. After we’ve discussed presidents, I will
assign the students into group of 4-5 each. Each group will then be assigned 10 different presidents to add a
picture of each and 2 facts about each. Each group will complete their work on their presidents and the end
result will be a complete timeline of pictures and facts about every president. This entire activity should take
one class period and I will be walking around providing assistance to the students who may need it. I will
conclude the lesson by displaying the Padlet on the active board and review over it with the students.
Reflective Practice: This activity will leave the students will a solid understanding of the U.S. Presidents as
well as building their internet knowledge by using the Padlet tool.
