NBX-R1000RF REPEATER

The NBX-R1000RF is based on the NBX (Narrow Band eXtension) platform, a state-of-the-
art LPWAN repeater system with a flexible and powerful Software-Defined-Radio
architecture. The NBX-R1000RF is a high-performance macro repeater which can be
tower mounted or desktop mounted. With a capacity to repeat over 700k messages per
day the NBX-R1000RF has SSR (Smart Sigfox Repeat), an advanced machine learning
algorithm which substantially reduces repetitions of messages from devices that are
already within Sigfox network coverage or coverage from another NBX repeater.
SSR, combined with APA (Auto Power Adjustment) significantly increases useable
capacity and reduces spectrum noise, typical problems with most repeaters.

Dimensions Standard case

W/H: 185mm incl. internal
D: 57mm antennas
- IP67
- SMA RF connectors
- Waterproof Ethernet
with PoE

The NBX-R1000RF can be used either as an urban infill/densification tool, or a rural

coverage extension tool. Due to leading RF sensitivity, machine learning and a choice of
antenna systems, the NBX-R1000RF can be placed anywhere indoors or outdoors with
little or no configuration necessary. Both Uplink AND Downlink messages are
automatically repeated. A sub 5W power consumption and no IP connectivity
requirement means that the NBX-R1000RF can be cost effectively installed virtually
anywhere with off-grid solar.

Target use cases include: Densification for metering contracts or facilities management,
Urban RF hole fixing, rural and road extension coverage, and agricultural/forest areas.
Sites where power/backhaul is expensive/difficult.

The NBX-R1000RF can also be configured a DAS equivalent solution. In this mode, one
NBX-R1000RF is set to operate as a Master repeater, controlling other NBX-R1000RF
repeaters connected locally via Ethernet and configured as slaves. The future NBX Mini
and Pico will also function as slaves. This can serve as a solution to cover multiple
underground levels, tunnels, dense/large corporate structures or campuses.
NBX-R1000RF | Key Features | Specifications

RX Capability >300 simultaneous Sigfox messages (10m/day)

TX Repetition Simple repeater mode: >700k messages per day UL, No limitation on DL messages
Capacity

RCZ-x Region RX can be set to listen to a roaming RCZ zone and retransmit on local RCZ zone (e.g. can
Shifting receive RCZ2 and/or RCZ4 and TX on RCZ1)

Message Buffer >10 Million message buffer

Smart Sigfox Repeat uses machine learning to select which messages do not require
SSR repetition based on the device being inside the coverage of a Sigfox radio, or another NBX
repeater

Auto Power Adjustment reduces the power to the required level to reach a Sigfox radio
APA from the installed location of the NBX

Management BLE/WiFi/Ethernet/4G firmware upgrade, Geolocation information
