Thank you Cox Families: Our September Family Dinner Night at Café Zupas was huge success! During our time
block we brought in $1,848.13 just in DMC orders and we got 20% of that giving our school $369.63! Zupas always
works so nicely with our school and have booked us for another dinner night in the spring. Thank you families for
supporting our school. That money will go into our grade level accounts for teachers to use in their classrooms and
every little bit helps A LOT!

Super Star Specialist Classes of the Month: As we wrap up the month of September, congratulations to the
following classes who have shown outstanding class behaviors in Library, Art, Music, PE, and Science: Mrs. Ernst’s
Class, Ms. Anderson’s Class, Miss Ash’s Class, Mrs. Kuhlman’s Class, Mrs. Barcelo’s Class, Mrs. Piccininni’s
Class, and Mrs. Martin’s Class! Keep up the great work!

Cox Cub of the Week: Congratulations to the following students for earning the
“Cub of the Week” award for their class: Camilla Courtney, Amanda Ola,
Harrison Jones, Aaralyn Adams, Addison Lomax, Novah Henry, Aubri’yl Hicks,
Alexander Bermudez-Pretel, Stella Michaelson, Eilas Simpson, Hayden Jaime,
Easten Miller, Chandler Ostler, Sofia Ochoa, Ella Lease,
Dylan Arencibia-Herrera, Emma Blythe, Olivia Price, Deegan Ferrer,
Aylssa Bitterman, Emma Michel, Mary Nally, Ciela Rodarte, Natalie Asaad,
Nixon Stultz, Mataio Curley, Gunner Beranek, Brandon Pham, Jasper Saladino,
Jaxson Keraly, Samantha Bellante, Brielle Moore, Laya Vinay, and
Evelyn Winfree.

PTA News: Please join our PTA! The Membership Drive is still going! We are trying to get 100% parent membership and are
having a class competition for highest membership! Congratulations to the following parents who were elected to
the 2021-2022 SOT (school organization team) Board during last week’s PTA meeting: Mr. Huff, Mrs. Courtney,
and Mrs. Glasz! Our October PTA meeting is next Tuesday, the 5th, at 6 pm in the MP Room.

Early Bird Computer Lab News: Families, we are no longer having Early Bird Computer Lab. With student having
their own chrome books there have only been three students in the past 5 weeks. It is just not used as it has been in
past years and those licensed teachers who were running it need to be utilized elsewhere.

Super Important Parent Notification: Some of our families will be receiving the P-EBT cards for their
students in the mail soon. If you check on https://accessnevada.dwss.nv.gov/public/landing-page you’ll see
our school qualifies. Kids can receive over $400 each and I would hate families to throw it away by accident.
The envelop it comes in literally looks like junk mail. Please keep an eye out for this in your mail.

Annual PTA Fun Run Kicks Off!

Every year our PTA hosts a “Fun Run” where our community raises funds to support our school. It’s a really fun
event for the kids, takes place on campus, and parents get to attend and “spray their kids down with water.” All
donations for the student’s laps are on-line (no money allowed in person). Students will begin collecting donations
(only through online transactions) on Tuesday, October 5th and the Fun Run takes place on Friday October 15th at
staggered times beginning at 9:15 am on our field.
Cox Covid Update: We are still fortunate here at DMC. As of date, we continue to have had zero classes quarantined
and zero positive individuals.
Parents: Here is some latest news from the district about reporting Covid: “Please utilize the new CCSD COVID-19
Parent/Guardian hotline to report your student's positive COVID test result or your child's recent exposure to a COVID positive
individual. The CCSD COVID-19 Parent/Guardian Hotline is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and
can be reached by calling 702-799-4322. Free COVID -19 testing options at Southern Nevada Health District and vaccination
resources are available at Southern Nevada Health District Vaccines.”
