“Tanging Yaman”

Life is full of choices considering the fact that we do only live ones, these choices were
meant to be our only option whether we live with it or the opposite. Life depends on everything
especially when it comes to the people around us whether from peers, family and any other
relatives. They are the ones who creates a path base from the choices we have made right now,
they might not be the actual motive but a part of the reason why you made that choice.

Family has always been our greatest blessings, rich or poor, complete or incomplete,
melancholy or poignant, they are still our family genetically and legitimately. The film Tanging
Yaman or also known as “A Change of Heart” was depict from a story on a bible by an author
whom were touched by the said story of a priest about that certain parable in the bible. The
story runs from a family feud which are starting to grew deeper which makes it hard for them
to come along but the love of their unconditional mother tied them as one nevertheless her
condition with Alzheimer’s disease.

In this movie, I’ve learned that every human being is capable of love, and it’s the most
powerful thing that ever exist that can be explain both scientifically and religiously. This love
does not only alter emotions and feeling but also our physical aspects which affects the actions
we act or simply the choices we make, because of the love of their mother, her eagerness for
them to be bond with each other was created from all of his effort and his choice to make his
family better with each other. Family is where life begins and love never ends.

Another thing that I’ve learned from this story is that there are things we can’t buy from
wealth like time, wisdom and especially a family. We were so drawn to capitalism that
everything or anything around us can be bought by money. These days a life of a person is only
relied to money, because if you don’t have one, then simply you don’t have the right to live
because hospitals are too expensive for cure, even justice can’t be served without you offering
money, because of their eagerness to take the land of their mother from money, they are
already forgetting that they are a family because of wealth. Always remember that those
treasures and wealth are not forever, a family that is together is wealthier than a person whose
pocket is fuller.
