Cris-Cross Top

Materials:

4ply Indophil yarn/Fingerweight yarn


Tape Measure
Tapestry Needle Measurements:
Scissor
Measurement starts at your nape
Hook Size: 4mm going down to the center of your
chest and under your breast until
the center of your back. After
getting your measurement, deduct 2
Stitches Used/Abbreviations: inches (27 Inches minus 2)
Ch - Chain
Sc - Single Crochet
Dc - Double Crochet
2scTog - 2 Single Crochet Together
St - Stitch
Slst - Slit Stitch

Instruction:

This top is made out of 2 panels. Make sure that you


remember the count of rows in the first panel so that it
will be identical to the second panel. It is better if
you write the number of rows in which you start
decreasing.

ROW 1

Make enough chain that can cover the length of your


breast. The chain should be an even number. (36ch Xs)
Place 1sc in the second chain from the hook and all the
way to the last chain

ROW 2

Ch 1. Flip your work,place 1 sc and 1 dc in the first st.


Skip 1 st place 1 sc and 1 dc in the next st (repeat
until you reach the third to the last st)place 1 sc and 1
dc in the third to the last ch, skip 1 st and place 1 sc
in the last st.

repeat (ROW 1 & ROW 2) alternately until your work can


cover your breast (7 inches) you should end with the
stitch that we made in ROW 2. (36 rows in total)
From this point onwards, we will start decreasing in one
side.

DECREASED ROWS
Start in row 37

D - ROW 1

Ch 1. flip your work and do 1sc2Tog, place 1sc in each st


until you reach the last st. (put a stitch marker in the
beginning of this row. It will serve as your guide in to
which side you’ll be decreasing)

D - ROW 2

Ch 1. flip your work, place 1 sc and 1 dc in the first


st, skip one st and place 1 sc and 1 dc in the next
St(repeat until you reach the2 fourth to the last st)place
1 sc and 1 dc in the fourth to the last ch, skip 1 st,
make 1sc2Tog in the last two sts.

repeat (D - ROW 1 & D - ROW 2) alternately until you’re


left with NINE (9) sts (total of 26 rows of decrease).
Your should end with the sts that we made in row 2.

After you’re left with NINE (9) sts, do the following


rows alternately:

ROW 1

Ch 1. Flip your work and do 1 sc in each st until you


reach the last st.

ROW 2

Ch 1. Flip your work, place 1 sc and 1 dc in the first


st, skip 1 st and place 1 sc and 1 dc in the next st
(repeat until you reach the third to the last st) place 1
sc nd 1 dc in the third to the last st, skip 1 st and
make 1 sc in the remaining st.

continue doing ROW 1 and ROW 2 alternately until your


work reaches your nape. (total of rows) ch1 and cut the
yarn

BACK PART:

Attach the yarn at the beginning row.


ROW 1

Ch 1 and do a 1 sc in each st until you reach the last


st.

ROW 2

Ch 1. Flip your work, do 1scTog until you reach the last


st.

ROW 3

Ch 1. Flip your work. Make 1sc and 1 dc in the next st,


skip 1 st and make 1sc and 1 dc in the next st (repeat
until you reach the fourth to the last st) make 1 sc and
1 dc in the fourth to the last st, skip 1 st and make
1scTog in the remaining sts.

Repeat ROW 2 & ROW 3 alternately until your’re left with


NINE (9) sts.

After you’re left with NINE (9) sts, do the following


rows alternately:

Note: this will be the tie/ribbon so make sure that it is


long enough to make a ribbon

ROW 1

Ch 1. Flip your work and do 1 sc in each st until you


reach the last st.

ROW 2

Ch 1. Flip your work, place 1 sc and 1 dc in the first


st, skip 1 st and place 1 sc and 1 dc in the next st
(repeat until you reach the third to the last st) place 1
sc nd 1 dc in the third to the last st, skip 1 st and
make 1 sc in the remaining st.

Continue doing ROW 1 & ROW 2 until you reach your desired
length (101 rows)

REPEAT THE WHOLE PROCESS TO MAKE THE SECOND PANEL
