Career Guidance Program believes that every learner is unique and has the ability to develop
him/herself using his or her own learning and experiences from family, community, school and society.
DepEd Order No. 41 series of 2015 stipulates the conduct of Career Guidance Advocacy Program for
Senior High School that is why it is very important that the teachers and students are equipped with the

I. Introduction:
The importance of providing career orientation to students has been studied in numerous researches.
Savickas found that career orientation explicitly fosters students' awareness of tasks to be faced and decisions to
make. Krumboltz and Worthington pointed that learning is essential not only for students to develop the basic
employability skills required for the school-to-work transition, but also for the development of work habits,
Similarly, Lent and Worthington said that responding to national and local initiatives, the career
development profession has been engaged in efforts to aid understanding and facilitation of the school-to-work
transition process. Kuijpers, Meijers, and Gundy indicated that career guidance in school, in which a dialogue
takes place with the student about concrete experiences and which is focused on the future, contributes to the
presence of career competencies among student. A recent study by Loan and Van howed that career guidance
aimed at assisting students to reflect on their ambitions, interests, qualifications and abilities. It helps them to
understand the labor market and education system, and to relate their needs in life and to become responsible
global citizen.
The Senior High School Department headed by Madam Clarita R. Magat and Senior
High School Designate Katherine T. Alcantara conducted a meaningful activity such as Orientation
about “Career Guidance Program” to provide guidance on the career path to which a learner will
take. The activity aims to unify understanding about the four (4) curriculum exits of a Senior High

Ceremony followed by Opening Prayer led by Sir Renante P. Graven with Audio Visual Presentation
of the National Anthem. Sir Marcelo T. Esteban, Principal II gives the welcome remarks followed by the
House Rules discussed by Madam Shyla Joy R. Bartido followed by a Roll Call led by Madam Maricar
R. Domingo. Inspirational message was given by Madam Ailleen L. Dellosa, Focal Person of Senior
High School.
The SHS Guidance Designate Madam Katherine T. ALcantara as the Resource Speaker
discussed comprehensively the topic about “Entering the Exits: Four Curriculum Exits” which provides
guidance on the chosen career path of students. Invited speakers PCpl Mark Cyrus G. Alcantara also
discussed “How to choose a career path?” followed by Ronel M. Sagun, PTRP also discussed the topic
Awarding of certificate is given to the speaker followed by the Closing Remarks of Madam
