Chapter 5/ Process Essay (Model)

Studying Math

Math is probably the most difficult subject for most people. Most students are afraid
of not passing because of the reputation math has of being hard. Studying math needs a lot of
efforts and practice. Students should follow three steps in order to feel less nervous about this
subject. (This sentence is the Thesis Statement)

  Concentration is the first thing that a student should acquire. Full concentration is
needed to study math and to be free of any thoughts that are not related to this subject. Also, a
student should be completely rested, because if a student is tired, he or she may take a long
time to study.

Second, a student should read all the sections of the math textbook completely. He or
she should write the formulas and write them on a separate sheet in order to memorize and
analyze them. This will help in understanding and recalling the information during the exams.

Then, after the student reads all the sections, he or she should start doing the problems
in the review section in order to have a better understanding. At this stage, the student should
find a partner to work with. This will increase his or her speed while solving the problems
and make the learning process easier.

Finally, math can be difficult if an individual thinks that it is difficult. It needs efforts
and a lot of practice. However, if a student follows the above guidelines, he or she will do
well and will like this subject.
