---The purpose of corporate governance is to help build an environment of trust, transparency and accountability necessary for fostering long-term investment, financial stability and business integrity, thereby supporting stronger growth and more inclusive societies. 2. What are the factors to consider in the achieving good governance? --- According to the United Nations, Good Governance is measured by the eight factors of Participation, Rule of Law, Transparency, Responsiveness, Consensus Oriented, Equity and Inclusiveness, Effectiveness and Efficiency, and Accountability. 3. Which of these factors is the most important? Why? --- A number of studies have emphasized that governance has many components, including accountability, autonomy, role clarity, policy coherence (especially as related to objectives), stakeholder participation/engagement, professionalism (capacity), and transparency. 4. As one of the constituents in your municipality, how do you promote good governance? --- Promoting values for the authority and demonstrating the values of good governance through upholding high standards of conduct and behaviour. ...
