In-class exercise for group discussion: Watch the v-clip and list down some appropriate manners
that you need to remember.
Should do:
 Pour the milk into the glass when sharing with others
 When eating with foreigners, say “give me” or “could you please pass…” if you want to
use something in their personal space.
 When you are in the new culture, you need to do what they do in that culture
 Put the napkin on your lap or tuck it in your shirt
 Say “Excuse me” if you want to go to the bathroom or everywhere
Should not do:
 Use your hands to pick up food
 Use your mouth to take a bottle of milk to drink
 Arbitrarily taking other people’s things
 Use napkin to clean your hands
 Take and put others food by your chopsticks
 Sticks the chopsticks vertically into the rice
