Scenario Introduction ‘AtoZ Events, Inc. (AtoZ) is the subject of a scenario used throughout the lab exercises in ServiceCenter. The purpose of this scenario is to introduce concepts and knowledge required for ServiceCenter implementation. The exercises provide examples of tasks that you encounter as a ServiceCenter implementer or administrator. Company Profile ‘AtoZ is a fast-growing event management and party supply company. AtoZ specializes in special events, such as trade shows, conventions, concerts, and art exhibits. The company manages 10 to 20 events per month and organizes all ofits customer requirements from locating the venue, to providing music, and arranging the catering. ‘AtoZ is geographically spread over 10 locations in U.S. Its headquarters is in ‘San Diego where it employs 100 people. It has grown rapidly and it now needs to improve call, incident, asset management, and documentation. AtoZ is dedicated to providing the highest quality event management to its customers. They believe that retaining customer satisfaction and enduring customer relationships bring success to the company. Your Role Throughout the lab exercises, you play various roles in AtoZ, such as system administrator and helpdesk operator. You receive assignments via e-mail from the AtoZ management team. The Helpdesk supports distributors, suppliers, and the company’s employees in the San Diego office. AtoZ has chosen ServiceCenter 6 Service Management, Incident Management, Inventory Management, and Root Cause Analysis to facilitate the management of their infrastructure. With ServiceCenter we'll be able to better organize our assets. As a result, AtoZ Events will reduce the total cost of ownership, improve the return on investment, and maximize the overall effectiveness of the company. This tool will not only provide asset management, but will also allow tailoring to our needs and adequate management of AtoZ's complex environment.
