A NARRATIVE REPORT ON A LEARNER CENTERED

LEARNING CLASSROOM
Due to the recent pandemic that our country has been affected by
this Covid-19, face to face classes was not allowed to prevent spreading
virus. Despite the challenges we’ve been through, the Department of
Education provide learning opportunities to our learners without
requiring them to go to school.
To keep the essence of a learner centered learning classroom,
Tagpangi Elementary School had chosen “Printed Modular Distance
Learning” since the school was far from the town where signal is a huge
problem. The teachers reproduced and distributed the self-learning
modules to the parents. Prior to that, we had an orientation to the
parents to explain to them about the learning delivery. We had instructed
the parents what to do and gave them tips or an idea about the modules.
Every time the parents returned the modules, we asked them how the
learner was coping up in answering the modules and discussed them the
part where their child had an unanswered question. We also provide
performance task, additional exercises and worksheets to our learners
for enhancement and remedial. Through these activities we were able to
reach out and know our learners’ progress.

Attached herewith the documentation on how we maintain the

conducive learning classroom even without the learners, how we prepare
the self-learning modules, and how we keep all the outputs of our
learners.
