UNIDAD 10

Currently, The Board of Education is considering banning the use of cell phoneS in
schools, due to THE FACT THAT(,) many students are not studying OR PAYING
ENOUGH ATTENTION TO CLASSES because they are using their phones (in class.)
TO DO SOME DIFFERENT THING INSTEAD OF USING IT AS A RESOURSE
FOR STUDYING
On the one hand, some parents consider that (it) would be a good measure because they
are worried about their children’S CONCENTRATION AND PERFORMANCE IN
RELATION TO SCHOOL MATTERS. On the other hand, many parents think (that) it
would be a bad idea OWING TO many students consider( that) their phones are tools
TO GET INFORMATION FASTER SINCE THEY CAN SEARCH TOPICS ON THE
INTERNET. (THIS IS PART OF PAR.1)
(Firstly,)BESIDES, according to the law people are free to have a phone but they should
be responsible with it. Many students record their classes or call their parents when they
need some help, therefore phones are tools more than a distraction. Apart from this,
students could use their phones TO GET ACCESS TO GUIDES FOR SOME
SUBJECTS SUCH AS( in subjects like) ICT.
(On the other hand,)MOREOVER, IT ALSO TRUE THAT some students would get
distracted when they are in class or they could cheat during an exam. However, many
teachers are concerned about a major problem, some students would take photos and
videos to embarrass other students. Therefore, some parents consider that phones do
more harm than good.
In summary, parents and teacherS should talk with students about phones. They
understand that phones have become a necessity today but students should be
responsible with them.
