The bar chart depicts the proportions of people following
news via four di erent type of media in a speci c country in 2013, 2015 and 2017.
Overall, what stands out from the chart is that in all
three studied years, television stayed the most popular media for accessing news. Additionally, the use of internet observed a signi cant growth throughout the period.
Focusing on television and radio, in 2013 around 80%
of population watched television to follow the news. The amount experienced a fall to 68% in 2015, after which it reached to 70% with a small increase. Meanwhile, radio completely attened at 30% from 2015 to 2017 after having experienced a slight decrease.
As for newspaper and internet, they witnessed totally
contrary trends. The proportion of people reading newspaper dipped signi cantly from around 42% in 2013 to just above one fth in 2017. In contrast, the use of internet rose from 30% in 2013 to account for approximately 70% of the population in 2017.
