ACCEPTABLE USE AGREEMENT FOR USERS WITH LOCAL

ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS
Acceptable use of IT resources by local admin users on their workstations include but are not limited to:
1. Adherence to the standards outlined in the Firm’s IT policies.
2. Ensuring that applications and software installed are not to be changed or removed.
3. Ensuring that installation of application and software not part of the Standard Loadset need prior approval
from the IT Security.
4. Ensuring that AntiVirus Software and BitLocker encryption is not to be disabled and re-configured.
5. Ensuring that strong passwords are assigned and that default passwords are changed using strong password
methodologies.
6. Guarding against corruption, compromise, or destruction of the company’s computer and information assets.
7. Never sharing personal account logins or passwords with anyone.
8. Never knowingly creating pathways that allow for violations of network security.
9. Always logging off or appropriately securing sessions to the point that requires a new log-on whenever
leaving your work area.
EMPLOYEE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

 I have read and understood the acceptable use policy for local admin users.
 I understand that local administrator rights are provided for the sole intention of running the software and
purposes indicated below :

 I accept that any additional software, modification, or use not listed above and not in the IT standard loadset is
considered a violation of the company’s IT policies.
 I understand that with local administrator rights to my workstation, there is a higher risk of compromise from
malware and viruses, and I accept my responsibility of exercising more due diligence as outlined in the Firm’s
IT security policies and preventing malware or data breach.
 I accept that this admin privilege is only temporary and may at any time be discontinued by the IT department
and the Firm as appropriate without prior notice.
 I will adhere to the established policy and understand if I violate the rules explained herein, I may be subject
to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
