On Monday June 21 there was a tragic accident in downtown Kingston involving a young lady who

sustained a broken leg after being hit by a Toyota supra. Witnesses say at around 12 pm in the afternoon
miss Kamesha Kelly was at the pedestrian crossing upon crossing a car drove up and hit her where she
hit the front of the vehicle before hitting the ground, and the vehicle driver speed off without looking
back a lot of the witnesses said that they thought she had died because for a while she wasn't moving.

Everyone was in shock for a moment before anyone tried to help her and call an ambulance when the
police came to the scene to get statements from the surrounding witnesses one man who was recording
the incident managed to get the license plate number of the car to help the police out when the
ambulance came some of the men helped put her on a stretcher to go to the hospital the police were
taking witnesses from a woman who said “ me did stand up a talk pon me phone when me see the car
fly past and lick dung the poor girl and him not even look fi see if she dead or alive him just drive gone”.

After interviewing one of the officers, he said that they found the driver who was at the hospital wo was
speeding because his wife was about to give birth to their child after he explained that to the police they
took him down to the station to get his statement.
