Shell Tellus Oil ST

Zinc-free hydraulic oil for wide temperature range

Shell Tellus Oils ST are high viscosity index, mineral hydraulic oils using zinc-free
performance additives

Applications • Hydrolytic stability

Tellus ST is intended especially for modern mobile Outstanding resistance to hydrolysis, making it
(or static) hydraulic systems working under severe non-aggressive to alloys containing copper
and variable operating conditions. when water is present.
In other words, systems
• operating at low temperature
• exposed to substantial temperature variations Specification and Approvals
• sensitive to changes in viscosity ISO 6743 part 4
• such as numerically controlled machine tools, DIN 51524 part 3, HVLP
construction equipment. AFNOR NF E-48-602
AFNOR NF E-60-200
Performance Features and Benefits
• High index viscosity Health and Safety
Facilitates cold starts, reduces pressure losses Guidance on Health and Safety are available on
and provides effective lubrication of sensitive the appropriate Shell Product Safety Data Sheet
components when hot. which can be obtained from your Shell
representative.
• Good anti-wear properties Protect the environment
High mechanical performance thanks to its high Take used oil to an authorised collection point. Do
anti-wear and enhanced extreme pressure not discharge into drains, soil or water.
capabilities.
• Good oxidation resistance
Increases the service life of the oil and the
equipment.
• Good demulsibility capability
Water can easily be drained from the circuit, thus
avoiding any risk of ferrous metal corrosion.
