If you have forgotten your password or unsure if you have received the email containing your password,
click onto the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link and follow the prompts to reset your password.
If you are already logged into Capabiliti and would like to change your password click onto the change
password and follow the prompts

To find a course:
1. Click onto the search function and type keywords and then;
2. Click on Search

3. The search will then source the course name, when you have found the course, click onto
the course name, if you want to book onto the course click onto the ‘book now’ button
4. You must then place your supervisors email. This must be correct, or your manager will not
be able to approve your attendance at the course.
5. You must then click on the tick box acknowledging that you agree to the Disclaimer and
Policy (after reading the document)
To find a course:

the course name
4. If you want to book onto the course click onto the ‘book now’ button
5. You must then click on the tick box acknowledging that you agree to the Disclaimer and
Policy
5. You will be required to type in why you are cancelling the course
Note: You will not be able to cancel out of a course if it is within the cancellation period
(generally five [5] days before the training course commences).
If this is the case, please contact the training course facilitator/organiser to discuss your
cancellation.
5. The report will then be produced in Adobe, you can then select to download the report in
your preferred view and the n print or save the document
For managers
Please note - eLearning courses don’t require approval for staff to complete
1. To approve a staff members attendance at a face-to-face course, log onto Capabiliti and click
on the Pending approval card
2. You can elect to approve the staff members’ attendance or decline their request
On rare occasions staff members may have certain essential education training requirements incorrectly
assigned to them. Nominated Managers / Supervisors can remove and add these training requirements by
following the below instructions.
Before adding / removing training requirements please refer to the ACT Health Essential Education Policy
and Guideline to ensure the change you are making adheres to the requirements stated in the documents.
3. In this section you can select the learning framework / training module/s you wish to
remove / add for your staff by clicking onto the drop-down feature for the ‘All learning
framework areas’
4. When you have selected the course / framework (noting that the ‘All Staff’ component is
unable to be removed – as these courses must be completed) click onto ‘manage team
member assignments’
5. Here you can either add or remove the training framework from your allocated team
member/s. You do this simply by clicking onto +Add, if you want to add the learning
framework or remove, if you want to remove the learning framework.

6. You have successfully removed / added a learning framework to your team member/s.
Here you will be able to click onto each team members’ essential education compliance by clicking
onto their ‘view progress’

To show a members courses, click the down button (V) to ‘show requirements’
You can see here that for this employee the requirement will expire on 4/12/2018.
As a manager you will also receive notifications via email for when training courses are due to expire
(generally 6 weeks prior to expiry).
To create a learning plan for your staff members (where you can allocate training courses, other than
essential education for a staff member)

9. A) You can search for courses by typing in the course name or keywords, the courses can be
searched for via:
Any delivery mode
Face-to-face
eLearning
In the requirement type you can select whether the course is required or recommended.
Required means – staff have to complete this course within the indicated timeframe
Recommended means – staff will have this training requirement allocated to them but they
do not have to complete the training course.
Add only to the incomplete learning plans means that adding this training course to this
template will add the requirement from all incomplete learning plans.
Add to all learning plans means that this training requirement will be added to all your
teams future, currently incomplete, and complete learning plans. Completed users will have
their learning plan set back to incomplete until the new requirement has been completed.
10. Once you have decided on the appropriate action, click on the ‘add’ button

Once this has been added you can continue to add other training courses by following the
above steps again.
Once you have added all of the courses required for this learning plan, you can click onto the
permissions and grant the individuals who will be allocated this plan special permissions.
For example:
Create learning plan from this template means that by ticking this box the individuals can create
their own learning plan from this template
Remove assigned learning plans created from this template means that by ticking this box the
individuals can remove this learning plan from their Capabiliti profile
Change expected completion date of learning plan means that by ticking this box the individuals
can edit the completion date
Remove required courses from learning plans means that by ticking this box the individual can
remove required courses from the learning plan
Remove recommended courses from learning plans means that by ticking this box the individual
can remove recommended courses from the learning plan
Add or remove additional courses from learning plans means that by ticking this box the individual
can add or remove additional courses from this learning plan
11. If you do decide to grant permissions to individuals, click on the boxe/s and then click on
save

Now that you have created a learning plan, you can now assign team members to the plan
Make sure the plan that you want to assign is the correct one and check that the expected
completion date is the one that you wish to allocate.

At this point you can add further additional requirements by clicking on the ‘add’ feature,
however if you are satisfied with the training courses in the plan, click on the ‘next’ button

14. At this point you can select one or more team members to assign the learning plan to. You
can also select all your team members. If you make a mistake you can always remove the
incorrect team member from the plan
15. Once you have confirmed that the learning plan has been allocated to the correct staff
members, click on the next button
