Analysis
1. Based on what you have observed in the demonstration teaching videos, explain the
importance of the different kinds of knowledge.
a. Content knowledge
Content knowledge had this aura stimulating the teacher to be focus on what he/she is
about to teach. It also offers set of advantages that enable the teacher to connect with
the ideas of the students and see to it as an add on to make the learning process more
meaningful. Lastly, content knowledge offers an opportunity to teachers to device
plan on how to carry out the subject matter with the aim in enriching students’
creativity and critical thinking skills.

b. Pedagogical knowledge
“Pedagogical knowledge is the knowledge needed to make that subject matter
accessible to students”. It is in utmost important for us teachers to have this
pedagogical knowledge so that we will be able to give access to students to freely
extract knowledge from the subject matter. And we should also mind the atmosphere
of the learning process for it greatly affects their learning. Thus, the effectivity of our
teaching reflects on their performance, that is why we should be pedagogically ready
to face the challenges so that we will be able to deliver our task appropriately; which
empowers meaningful learning and not a target for lost.

c. Curricular knowledge
“Curricular knowledge refers to teachers' consciousness of the topics included in
materials, their underlying organization, development, and coherence.” It’s been told
that teacher without this knowledge is teaching without the true purpose and essence
of his/her profession. We should be aware of this knowledge for the ability of this
knowledge greatly influenced us in delivering our tasks in such way that is align by
the curriculum and can addressed the contextual needs of the learners to learn.

2. What do you think were the strategies used by the teacher to enrich his/her mastery of
the following;
a. Content knowledge
The teacher deeply internalized the value of her profession making it as her strategy
to break barriers in enriching her content knowledge; for her carry out the subject
matter with confidence. Thus, it is evident on her video that she possessed this
knowledge for she effectively used it in connecting students’ ideas and devising
techniques to carry out the subject matter in way that supports the willingness of her
learners to learn.
b. Pedagogical Knowledge
Her use of questioning really gives students the access of knowledge that the teacher
wants for her learners to extract. Her use of real social issues and the call for justice
for physical and gender discrimination had paved the way to make her discussion
evident that she has the pedagogical knowledge. Thus, her delivery and discussion are
clear and concise which is evident that she effectively handed her knowledge to her
learners.

c. Curricular Knowledge
Her used of effective tools in her discussion addresses the learning difficulties of the
students in grasping the thought of the topic. She also enhances her students’ learning
experience by employing questions that stimulates students’ interest to get involve in
the discussion. Therefore, her curriculum knowledge uses the strategy of inquiry-
based teaching that really enhance her teaching session that truly addresses students’
eagerness to learn.
