WEB-OPAC
The Library’s Web-based Online Public Access Catalogue (WEB-
OPAC) facilitates browse and search of database of books available
in the Central Library. The WEB-OPAC of the library can be accessed
at the following methods.

 Searching through WEB-OPAC:
Web-OPAC allows multi-dimensional searches providing as a many
access points as the data elements depending on the software
used. Web-OPACs, allow searches through the access points as
author, title, subject, class, keyword etc.

How to Perform a Basic Search

To do a Simple Search, you enter a word in the search box. The

Simple Search is a keyword search; the system will retrieve results
that include the search term(s) at any field in the record.

 Shorting of Results
These preferences set the default sort field and sort order for
searches on the OPAC. The sort options are still available in the
drop down list. (Like Title A-Z, Author A-Z & Call Number etc.)

Holding Information
The Holdings data present the Item Type, Current Location (where
the book can be found), Call Number (where exactly the book is
shelved), it’s Status (available, not for loan or circulated), and the
Due Date (when the book should be returned)

 Login your Account
Users can login with your ID and Password provided by the Library
& you can also check your account record.

 Change your Login Password
After the first login, the user can change the password

Self-Renewal of Books
Select the book that you want to renew by clicking the checkbox
and click on the Renew Selected button
