Activity 1 / The Work
Work is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do you have the potential,
character, talents, and skills to take up the vigour of being a worker? What should
you possess to become a good worker? How will you prepare for work immersion?

Work has been defined as to fulfill duties and regularly for wages or salary.
Work may sometimes be called as job, employment or occupation. It is a person’s
role in a society and is one of the reason why lives keep going. A person does work
in exchange for payment. More work implies a productive growth of economy, while
lack of this may result to major economic problem in the society which will lead to
poverty.

I always envisioned myself to be the breadwinner of the family. Until now, I

always look forward working and earning money for them. In fact, I had promised
and set myself that I may able to finish my study or not, I will still find work to help
them. And now that I am on my last year in high school, I am a few steps closer to
my dreams. Few years from now, I will be working but before that, I have to undergo
work immersion first and practice myself to be a good worker. If I am going to assess
myself, I think I am not 100% ready and prepared to be in an actual workplace. First,
I must submit my complete documents. I must have enough knowledge, adequate
skills and good moral character. I must also be aware of the company’s dos and
don’ts, policy and guidelines of the company. I must be able to resolve the possible
needs and challenges I may encounter. And lastly, I should practice myself to be
open minded to any changes and new learnings in my whole immersion process.
Activity 2 / Situational Analysis

CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE WORKPLACE

Suppose you work in a police station or a law firm and signed a confidentiality
agreement regarding all their cases at hand, suddenly your friend who was a suspect
to a crime asked you for some documents that are in your office’s possession that
may help him in his case. How would you deal with the situation?
The confidentiality agreement is a legal contract. Disclosing this is unethical
and illegal. Even if he is a friend of mine, I would not lend him any documents in my
office. This would just worsen his case. Not only him, but I will also face legal
charges. In any violations in the agreement, there will be repercussion on
professional reputations. If he needs help in his case, he must find himself a lawyer.
Everything should be done in legal process.
Activity 3 / Conflict Resolution

Did you ever experience disagreement and conflict with co-workers? How did you
handle the situation? How would you rate your skills in handling differences of
opinion? Please give an example that illustrates that skill.

When it comes to group activities, it cannot be avoided to have conflicts with

one of the groupmates. Conflict is inevitable when working with other people. There
are a lot of times that I get in the same situation I have been before. There will be
members that will not cooperate. This kind of situation is already expected. To
handle this, I must first understand the situation. He/she must have had his reasons,
that is why he did that. I must be mature enough to understand.

Job interview is an interview consisting of a conversation between a job

read the job ad, thought about it and understand (or at least have an idea) what the
job is about. Interviewer: Why do you want this job? It sounds like this position has a

Activity 14 / Post-Immersion

Dear students you are now on the final stretch of your work immersion course. At
this juncture you need to revisit the things that have been done in the past few days.
What are the events that are memorable to you, what are the key learning’s that you
have achieved and lastly you need to evaluate if the experienced gave you more
confidence to face what lies ahead.

Make a collage of your work experience

In the past few days of work immersion day I had a lot of experience that I didn’t
have. This is one of the most memorable experience of my life because I learned a
lot that I didn’t know and I proved to myself that I can do what I couldn’t do before
and because of immersion our friendship became stable we have proven to
ourselves despite everything even tedious day it is very happy and blessed.
Activity 15
ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

In today’s time we’re facing a pandemic many people are unemployed as well as
students are just at home studying it’s hard for everyone. As the day passed and
each hour passed, I began to think about what I had accomplished in my life.
My accomplishment in my life. As I get older I think about what I have already
achieved in my life. The first that was accomplished was when I was a child my
mother and sister lived in my auntie’s house it’s very hard for us. When I was a kid
the only dream to build a house that we could call our own even if it wasn’t that big.
I’m so blessed because we achieved this. The second that was accomplished to
study in private school when I was a child, my only dream has now come true and
the last one is that I just want to be with my father on special days like Birthdays,
Christmas and New Year’s days, even if it’s superficial to everyone’s happiness for
me is so big and very important because it’s just that I feel like we’re a whole family.
Sometimes I get jealous of my friends because of the special days they have with
their family celebrating. As I grew up I understood everything because of my
mother’s guidance and my mother always reminds me that not until we need her by
our side do we need to learn from those around us.

WORK IMMERSION HIGHLIGHTS

Everything I did during the work immersion were highlights for me because
that’s when I proved myself how far I can do things and I remembered the time that
Mrs. Rubirosa Agnas demonstrates us. I have not proven a lot and I make mistakes
in what she demonstrated and when we did the work immersion, I corrected all my
mistakes and I am grateful to Mrs. Rubirosa Agnas because without her I didn’t
correct what she demonstrated before despite of this pandemic we would have
finished our work immersion even though our equipments were lacking we would
have made improvisations. In work immersion our friendship became stable we have
proven to ourselves despite everything even tedious day it is very happy and blessed
because of work immersion we have learned something new that we can use in the
future not only about our work immersion we have learned a lot. We also learned
how to get along with each of us and I am grateful to Mrs. Rubirosa Agnas because I
learned a lot when I did the work immersion, Thank you Mrs. Rubirosa Agnas you
didn’t give us up even though you were tired, you were always there reminding us of
what to do just so we could learn something on our next journey.
Activity 18
MY REFLECTIONS
How did the experience change me as a person, and how will it help me in the
future.
The experience changed me as a person when I was a child my parents took
care of me with my grandparents because they work I did not experience a good life
but that is not an obstacle for me I just see my grandparents happy I am happy too
we can only eat three times a day I’m okay. Until my grandmother died of the
disease and at that time my world seemed to collapse I didn’t know what to do I also
lost the will to live. My parents came home, and my mother took care of me until we
came home to my mother’s place and taught me.Like my work immersion
experience, I have learned a lot of knowledge that can be used in the future in life. In
this work immersion teamwork is most effective. In this experience taught me that
you just have to and persevere in things to overcome it as well and I will use this as
my inspiration to the future.
